Thoughts?? s2k itch.....

Ok so, Not exactly sure what's gonna be going down in the next few years but may be heading to grad school for fulltime PhD work or will continue to work fulltime and get an MBA. Sorta up in the air. I wouldn't be keeping the car for very long. Might be two years before i start Phd and would need to get rid of the car.

Anyway, love my CLS and don't think i could or would ever get rid of it. Just too much of an all around car to trade for something not very practicle. I though instead of purchasing a car, maybe leasing an s2k? Am i better off buying an older car and then getting rid of it when i want to sell?

Is it really worth the money to get a second car right now?

no the decision isn't smart or practicle i'm ignoring that part of my brain for once in my life. Thought it would be something fun to have before marriage, house and perhaps 5 years of school where practicality will be the rule of thumb.

Why not get something that can be both fun an practical? You can always get another CL-S later on in life, especially if Honda decides to revive it in RWD form. You should get an EVO or STi and save yourself the hassle or balancing between practicality and fun.

I have that itch too, lol.

S2k's are getting to be VERY affordable. I have heard 05's can be had for below 30k, if you look around... personally I would be happy with an 02 for 20-22k...

S2k or bust i'm not really considering anything else. I've driven it a few times and absolutely love it. As far as the CLS goes i'd like to keep it because I really don't plan on keeping the s2k long. If end up having to get rid of the s2k, then i always have the CLS.

agreed, that's what i'm thinking but realistically, i wouldn't be able to do a two car situation until next summer. If i wanted something now i'd have to get rid of the CLS. The problem would be in the winter. Can't have RWD with as much driving as i do.

im not gonna even get into how awesome the S2K is. With an S2K, you're a supercharger away from perfection.

yes and no my reasons for getting a s2k is not to have a burner....well aware of the below 5k situation.

reasons:

1- how connected to the road you are
2- f2x what an engine
3- drop top that looks good

yeah, the thing I hate about the S2k is, it doesn't have as much torque as a Viper. GOD I mean.. WTF.

lol

honestly though, it doesn't have a lot of torque. the tq in the cls feels good after driving the s2k.

but, its just something to get used to. it doesn't really slow the car down, you just need to gas it. there is still enough to throw it into donuts without more than 5 feet of head start, thats good enough for me.

Exactly. I'm well aware it doesn't have a lot of torque. Every car has its strong and weak points, obviously. You just have to know how to use what you got... wind it through to 9k in the first 3 gears and you are already doing well over the speed limit - JUST TWO GEARCHANGES and you are hitting almost 90. Hit the top of 4th and you are right around 115 - with two more gearchanges to go.
