Thoughts on M3 v M3 convertible?
A) SMG or manual?
B) coupe or vert?
C)best colors?
I hvae been looking at 02 M3's...........really like the red Convertible with black guts and the white coupe with red guts.
My favorite is the Carbon black with cinamon interior but I don think i will ever own a black car again unless you can convince me that it is just shitty Acura paint, thanks.

A. Manual for sure. IMO, SMG doesnt provide a smooth ride unless you feather the throttle, so you might as well row your own gears.
B. Coupe. How often do you plan to go topless? Vert is heavier also.
C. Black.

I went with the 6spd, not to mention most of the engine failures have been on SMG equipped cars. Also the SMG M3 is slightly slower than the 6spd.
The vert is pimp, but its about 300 pounds heavier than the coupe. I went with the coupe, fine for NY weather.

Beltfed is right. They do make 6-speed convertibles

If Dinan software added 20rwhp, everyone would have it.

Ugghh, no its not......that color was cool for like 6 months when the car came out in 2001.
Plus LSB looks nothing like your photo, its like Smurf/hospital room blue. The above photo looks like Estoril blue.

Going to have to back ronnie on this one. That blue is the best color, I dunno if you can get it in a convertible though. I havent seen one to date. And beltfed I think those are 2 completely different colors, I might be wrong but I dont think so. Kraziks car is the m3 blue now.

I just bought a Carbon Black with Black interior M3 on Thursday, I would have loved to have gone with the Cinnamon interior though but they had this one on the lot. Even thought this car is awesome, I am in mourning for the ease, comfort features and interior storage that my CL-s had. Hopefully, my 17 year old daughter will let me drive her (my old) CL sometimes!
