Thoughts on Hummer H2?
I am still deciding on what to buy. There are so many new and preowned cars in the $40-50k range. Anyway I had been sold on an M3 convertible but lately I have been looking at SUV's . Escaldes, EXT's Denalis and Hummers and am starting to like the H2. Any thoughts? Thanks.

A truck vs. a M3
Those are completely different ballgames. I prefer cars, trucks just make you feel disconnected from the road. Not to mention the crappy gas mileage and risk off rolling over. I would definetly get the M3 convertible. Those things rock! What can I say, I'm a BMW-fanatic at heart.

Man, I have complete disrespect for the H2...they're for materialistic people. As cls6sp03 said, I'd stick w/ a REAL Hummer. The H2 is a joke.
If I were to get a BIG...and I mean BIG Suv, I would get a Denali, because those are straight bad ass

Yeah I thought it was the axle but its been so long I couldn't remember.
I see so many yuppies rolling H2's around scottsdale its pathetic. I laugh seeing them at the gas pump!!
Get a real truck and lift the shit out of it and put 42 inch tires on it. it would crush a H2 anyday.

Like already stated, i would get the h1 over the h2 anyday. Fuck the h2. I can't stand them, and see them way too much. And who wants to spend that much on gas?? Its a lil strange that you say your looking at an m3 and suvs. You should know whether you want an suv or a car. Do you need the extra room of a suv???Do you like the safety reason?why? I think everyone on here since it is a car forum, would tell you to go with the m3 for performance and driving excitement alone.

interior is way too small for being such a big truck and the head clearance inside is too low, it feels like im riding in the back of an integra. the 3rd row "seat" is just about useless if your bigger than a 5 y/o. and city driving is more like 8-10mpg. imo there are alot of better choices.

whoever says they dont look really good is talking shit...
yeah it may not be off-road well, but who the fuck actually uses the off roading potential of most SUV's anyways...

Plus the amount you would save in gas could offset the price of probably buying a Cayanne Turbo.

i dunno....the h2 seems pretty capable off road to me compared to other suv's...if you comapre its capability to an h1 then obviously it doesnt stack up...but compared to other suvs i think it does pretty well....but i'd rather get a f350
and if your not gonna wheel your truck then hte h2 is a waste...it guzzles gas like an alchoilic downs tequila...and it's road quailites are crap for its price...might aswell get a car based suv if all its gonna see is snow..

That video really doesn't say anything about the h2's offroad abilities, seen hardcore rock crawlers snap parts like tooth pics when going down the trail.
I like the looks, but I'd rather buy something that I felt I was getting my moneys worth, more luxury. It definately needs a diesel engine.

Nice trucks, the place i got my escalade from was a hummer dealership as well. My biggest gripe with them was the small windows made it hard to see out of, especially being such a big car, and the interior of the escalade was 10x nicer IMO. With big trucks, anything smaller then 24 really doesnt look good. Id look at the new range rover, thats what i would get if i did it over.

H2 - Gas guzzling, overpriced, pretentious piece of GM shit!!!
Seriously, for the money, just about anything else is better. Gas is supposed to be $3/gal this summer and Hummer was dead last on the edmunds.com quality report.
As for the car vs. SUV question, I've driven sports type cars since I've had a license. Anything that puts me up that high just feels unstable, like it's not holding the road. Add a little wind to that equation, and instability increases. If I was going to buy one, I'd look at the Cayenne Turbo ($$$ but real nice), the MDX (2004 models are kinda cool), or the RX330.
