Thank you all for replying didnt know so many would!

The finance isnt an issue here.
Recession doesnt look as bad here as it does in the US....I feel your pain trust me

Didnt know so many didnt like the new bodystyle! I really like it what can i say...sorry lol!!!

As for MPG its not so bad considering i dont put more than 200km/week on my car.

In Montreal without winter tires...you stay home mark my words, spcially with our 10 to 15 inches of snowstorms!!!

I wouldnt drive it either with the 21 cus i wouldnt take that option so id drive on some 18's and just get a set of 24's for the summer

It is on the top of my list in terms of SUVS and in that class category....but i will re-think my options and probably keep the TL for another summer...

Thanks to all for taking time to respond

Just throwing this out there... but I lived in NY for the first 28 years of my life... and the last 2 and change I had a 2002 TL-S.

We would get 10"+ snow many times and my TL-S with 17" rims and Blizzaks never had a problem. It was like a tank.

Just sayin'

I like the new FX50. Lots of performance and a pretty bold design. Do your research though, at this price point, a CPO Cayenne Turbo can be found.

This is true, though when the wife and I were getting our FX, we also looked closely at a Range Rover as well as a Cayenne S - and while we could have afforded to buy the Range Rover or the Cayenne, we weren't sure if we could afford to own either given their less than stellar track record in the shop.

I don't think the new FX50 is the most attractive SUV out there but considering it's performance and tech, I think it's a great overall choice.

When I first saw the new FX I was in love right off the bat. Just to show you what that means, I NEVER like a redesign of anything the first time I see it. Since I really got into cars in 1997/98, I have probably liked two or three redesigns right off the bat and this current FX is one of them. I'm pitching a tent here, the new FX is

If you can afford it, do it. And enjoy it for me.

^^^test drove one a few months ago when I thought I wanted an SUV.

Big MEH to me. They look nice and all but I felt it was underpowered.

me and about 10 guys from the FX forum had a meet AT an Infiniti dealership on the day they unveiled the new FX... we all got to test drive a FX50S... and I gotta admit... while I prefer 1st gen more (of course I'm bias  ), the FX50S' performance was simple awesome... not just the acceleration alone... but the braking was equally impressive... we went to a back street, the sales guy told me to slam on the brakes and I think we all got a whiplash from it...

.. this is an edmunds test.. they always seem to be a little conservative. I wonder what the C&D test is.. probably merciless as usual.
I don't know about the Cayenne Turbo-S... that thing is a BEAST!!! In a category by itself... I think the FX50S would be more like in the Cayenne GTS range...
