thinking about an s2k

I saw someone's post a few hours ago on how they just bought an S2000. I've always wanted this car, and now that I have a job that enables me to afford one, I'm entertaining the thought of getting one. I've been looking around for prices, and I'm not sure what a reasonable price is. I found on using yahoo autos that is being sold through a dealer. Year 2000, 30k miles, looks like its in good shape from the pictures, and they're asking 17.5k. It sounds like a good deal. Should I be skeptical? Also, I was thinking of trading in my current car and financing it. Is this a good/bad idea? I haven't had any experince with financing, but my credit is good. Thanks for the help.

just have it checked out, it probably been driven hard, but that it low milage for a 2000. Also remember its a Honda and should last a long time.

^ it hasn't necessarily been driven hard. A lot of the older s2k's with low miles are some old guys sunday cruiser.

Sounds like a good price though.

That's one reason why some people prefuer a private sale. That way you can meet the seller/prior driver. If they are a young punk, or an old geezer, you can learn alot about the owners habits just by talk to them.

is the 2002 model the oldest one that comes with a glass rear window?

i might lease for two years if i can find it. I'll be moving back to NY in two years and I'll probably live in the city, so I'll most likely need to get rid of it
