Nice Shawn. Glad you brought the info to the masses.
I saw a thing on one of the educational channels (can't remember if it was History or National Geographic) that had a whole thing about the Muesum Delivery. That's awesome that you got to do that! I've been eyeing up the C6 Vette myself... and since I won't need a new car for another year... I may be able to make it happen. Keep us up to date as to your experiences with it!!

The one stupid thing about the convertable is its 7k more than a coupe with the power folding top. For 52k the power folding top should be standard, especially when its 6k more than a coupe.

You need to get the 3LT to have the power folding option which starts at 55k then add 2k for the power top. A 3LT coupe is 49.2k
Verts are truely though.

Verts are cool, but I never considered getting one.
If I was in Florida, California or Texas yes, but not up here.
I like the lines of the coupe better when the top is up.
Plus I can take the top off and have a 75% convertible feel.
Now I know a Vette isn’t the first thing you think of when you think practical, but the coupe is much more practical then the vert when it comes to luggage capacity.
The coupe has a large 22 cu ft of storage space back there.
That’s more then the CLS at 14 cu ft.
A Vette vert is even worse at 11.
If the wife and I want to take a trip for a week we've got plenty of room.
17 for her and 5 for me.

at this point, I don't have a preference as to coupe or vert - I'd just be happy having a vette at all.

midlife crisis maybe so however I just sold a TT supra with 460 hp which I had for 12+ years before that I had another supra an 87 T which had about320( stock was 220) lets see before that a sirocco. Yes vettes have the bleach bimbo image so what. They also are damn fine machines. The convertible handles about the same as the coupe as it was built from the beginning to be a convertible not a conversion. If you guys don't want a convertible when you buy one then don't. I actually got more ribbing about buying the acura .. I was told I was turning into an old fart.

yeah i dont sence any agitation in his statement....
and im sure his Z51 vert handles quite close to the hard top... probably indistinguishable in the real world.

It’s listed as a “pleasure vehicle”.
I can drive it whenever and wherever I want, but it’s limited to a max of 8,000 miles a year.
With 500 collision deductible and 100 comprehensive the total is 590 a year extra.
For the Subaru, Vette and the wife’s RAV4 I’m under 1,800 a year total.
