Forgot to mention about the NAV…..
The car also has a Heads Up display.
When the NAV is running and there’s a turn coming up it flips over from the speedo & tach to the NAV instructions.
It switches to a distance to turn bar countdown, directional arrow and the street name.
Very convenient and it’s a nice integration of systems.

Only spray type “quick detail” waxes can be used.
The car was built on December 15th so I have to wait until March to get out the Z2.
I guess it’s because the panels are fiberglass composite and the car can’t be “baked” after painting like a metal car.
Zaino might be OK, but I didn’t want to take a chance.
I’ll probably E-Mail Sal later this week.

Looks good clean again.
It doesnt have to do with what material the body panels are. Its age. They want you to keep sealants like wax off the paint for atleast 3 months (that goes for any paint job, even stuff done in a bodyshop) the paint needs time to fully cure. All my paint manuals say the same thing (PPG, Lessonal, Dupont)

You get a 3 hour VIP tour of the GM assembly plant and a VIP tour of the Corvette Museum.
Prior to your arrival they prep the car and place it on display in the Museum and a “delivery specialist” spends about an hour going over the entire car with you.
You also get lots of posters, photos, plaques, birth certificate and other stuff to commemorate the occasion.
You’re allowed to “pose” the car in restricted areas of the plant & museum for shots like the one I took above.
You also get a 2-Year membership in the National Corvette Museum.
It was a long day. We got there at 7:30AM and didn’t pull out of the lot until nearly 5PM.
It adds 490 to the cost of the car, but is well worth it.
If you have the time, you can also go two weeks earlier and watch your own car come down the line, but being so far away I was unable to do that.

Nice color choice! Gotta love the sound of a nice throaty V8. That LS2 has awesome area under the curve! Even better than the LS6 in my V. If you're ever over at LS1Tech.com give me a shout. I'm Seattle CTS-V over there and on the Cadillac.com boards. I still think Acurazine is the best though!

I do know that 80MPH is only like 1,200 RPM.
We were all over the place from 60 to 110MPH and we still averaged 24-25 MPG on the trip.
And that’s through the mountains of West Virginia part of the way.
Not too bad for a 400HP 6-liter V8 I must say.
