Test Drove RSX-S & Link to Supercharged Maxima (auto)
Well I finally got some keys to a RSX-S a few days ago. Car has some pep to it, but no power until like 6000 rpm. Very easy shifting. I wasnt too hard on it since it had 30 miles on it, and I didn't was the RSX guys hunting me down like they are Soopa. I ran her hard once, just to see what she'll do. I power-shifted (gas down, half clutch) at 8000rpm, it ran the tach to 8500 and peeled the shit out of the tires between the 1->2 shift. Lotta plastic though. It would be hard to step into that car. Kinda sucks that you have no interior choice, it is locked in with the exterior color.

stillen won't supercharge automatic 5th gen maxima's (not sure about previous gen) because it is too much power for the tranny. this guy built the hella out of his auto tranny and he is running a 10 psi pulley (stillen send a 6 or 8 psi). damn fine if you ask me.

i got a 97 se max auto and i ordered the sc about a week ago but i am going to need a valve body upgrade , with my down pipe on the stock tranny cant handle the torque, if u have 5 speed u dont have a problem. so might just ditch tedown pipe

Don't tell him he has a auto. 5spd kit will fit auto, just minor modification to filter placement.

are you saying you can convert a 4sp auto max to a 5sp manual ??
