test drove the new c230

it's the hatchback. i doubt i'll buy it but just wanted to test it out. the turning radius is small. i love it. i know i wouldnt be able to do that in a cls. i don't know if its a good or bad thing though, but when i pounded first gear and shift to second it squeaked. maybe its the tires? i don't know, any theory's? i'm know next to nothing about how cars work. other than that it drives nice. ugly rear and ugly titianium trim. the rear is growing on me though.

I test drove it too... i thought it was really slow =/

i took my gf to check it out because the roof is really cool, and its cheaper than my CLS (~29K).

Positives: RWD, huge moon roof.

Negatives: Much slower than CLS from 0 RPM -- 4000 RPM, etc.

My mother wants a C230... but its a manual. She hates manuals. So.... it looks like she'll wait and get an RL.

the nice thing about the c230 sportshift is if you hold it to the floor it will only upshift at redline in every gear, i wish our cars did that
