SuperTrooper169 12-10-2015 01:56 PM

Now you just need a better camera lol. Ugh that car just makes parts of my body move and groove if ya know what I mean. :naughty:

MTEAZY 12-10-2015 02:06 PM

Exactly how I would order one. Congratulations. The only thing I would do is try and get the stance from the GT350R wheels.

I was just about to order a set of R spec wheels that are replicas, but after I thought about it.. if my idea is to stay under the radar I should probably stick with the stock wheels. After seeing this in person I love the current look.. which will probably go out the door as soon as I see an R.

No local members that would be willing to help out? Wouldn't take more than 20 minutes to snap a few real pictures of this beast

McCollins23 12-10-2015 02:33 PM

Damn these cars coming out now, makes my car look like poo poo.

I'm assuming you have the same handle on Mustang6g, was just reading your thread. Those R wheels coming out from MRR look freaking sweet, those might be my next set down the line.

Congrats!

While the tach looks TOTALLY different in the S2000, both cars redline doesn't start till a few hundred RPMs before the limiter ;). Love it.

I bet you can't wait to break in it ... keep 'er under 100

rockstar143 12-10-2015 06:02 PM

100? Ha!
You can do that day 1! It's 200 you have to wait for!

cu2wagon 12-10-2015 06:52 PM

That thing looks sinister.

I'll be honest about break in.. I don't do it. I've come close to redline a couple of times already, and I'm more focused on varying RPMs. The ridiculous thing is that the 350 makes peak horsepower at or close to redline.. and you feel it. It never stops, but to be honest you dont really have to go that high because the torque at 4000rpms kicks as well.

I don't really know how to explain this car, it sounds lame in my mind but how do you explain something that takes your breath away? Its visceral. Its what I was wanting in the M3.. This is a refined brute force.. nothing I ever expected from Ford. The Magneride suspension is firm but liveable for road trips. I haven't done enough to say how good the brakes are or how it handles, so I'll post those impressions after spending time on a road course.

Everyone has talked about how it sounds, I'll just say its one of the best V8s I have heard. Youtube videos do not do it justice, 10/10 for engine note.

I am trying to think of any complaints if any... I'm not a big fan of Ford's SYNC system but its probably just going to take time for me to adapt. The alignment on some panels is not 100% although I'm not really concerned about it. I think Ford is having a few QC issues at the plant with a number of Mustangs showing up to dealers with defects.. mine included. (one wheel is scraped and due to be replaced next week)

If the current M3 and to a lesser extent the C63 is the direction we are headed in as far as performance goes.. I will keep this Shelby forever. I'll take a slower 1/4 mile while feeling connected as opposed to mechanical aids and piped engine sounds.

Aman 12-10-2015 07:24 PM

 Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't know you but I'm really happy you're happy with the car.

dpFRESH 12-10-2015 07:31 PM

It's a shame those MB's don't come in MT

TL-GIXXER 12-11-2015 07:32 AM

Damn thats nice. Good luck with it..... Now, a tune??

RPhilMan1 12-11-2015 09:53 AM

Michelin Pilot Super Sports? I was just saying to myself this morning how I miss mine since I'm on the winter set now. Traction! Where are you?

Hey, I'll come down for a photo and video shoot. It's only a 4.5 hour drive... and I can plan it around a Blues - Blackhawks game. ;)

What a beauty! Congratulations on owning such a fine piece of machinery.

God bless American muscle. There is nothing quite like it in the automotive world. Awesome car and enjoy the hell out of it before it starts snowing. I feel like doing a few burnouts in the V, in your honor.

I put 1500 miles on it driving to Georgia to check on my mom and surprise my son, it will go up for the winter from here on out. My impressions:

My hatred for left lane drivers has been renewed

On my way down i experience some stupid people, like a Hyundai that rode my bumper.. sped up in front of me and when I would try to pass he would go between the two lanes so I couldn't go anywhere. In Atlanta and on the way back I had a much better experience.

I saw another GT350 on the road (white with blue stripes) and you'd think from my reaction that I have never seen one. The guy pulled into the next parking lot and we talked like we've known each other for years.. very cool.

For the longest time I have loved Porsche, and owning a 911 was the pinnacle for me, not any more. This is it.

The power is amazing and ridiculous. The guy I talked to had a GT500 previously, he says the experience is different in the GT350.

The transmission is GREAT but.. 6th gear is blah. I thought this gripe was excessive on the Ford forums but they are right. It's mainly because you put the exhaust in sport mode to hear the exhaust, and in 6th the exhaust valve is closed and it goes quiet. Easy Fix.

I went to a track day at Atlanta Motorsports Park with tons of different cars, but I was just there to see friends and did not participate. With that said I heard a lot of different engines, on the track.. the GT350 is pretty unique. I still love hearing the Corvettes, Zz, or AMGs, but I like mine the most. (maybe a little biased)

Exhaust is too quiet for me, I need normal mode to sound like sport, and sport to be louder.

Flat.. you just dont feel body roll in the GT350. That is different for me coming from a Honda Accord.

Best vehicle purchase ever made. I could sell it right now and make $10k+ on it but I'd feel like I was cheating myself. Im never selling this.

rockstar143 12-14-2015 07:23 AM

That was an awesome read, as per usual.
You're making me want to put the 5.0 back on.

What you COULD do...is go back to the original dealership, place your order for the NEW one...then post yours on the web for 10K more...BAM, 10K lower pricepoint!

That is an easy fix. I am sure the a V8 at 8k + aftermarket exhaust will be Screaming!!
