Test drove an E90 3251 today

Beverly Hills BMW had 2 325s and one 330 in today.

My girlfriend has been wanting one, and so we sent and test drove one.

I will admit it does look better in person...but the E46 Interlagos Blue M3 still gives more of a boner then the E90 ever could.

Anyway, the interior is OK...not as shitty as the new 5. The pickup is decent, much better then the E46 325. Drive is ok.

The E46 still handles stiffer and tighter and sportier. I still like the older interior better. M3 exterior still blows the new one away.

Summary...nice car. not worth the money they want for it.

lease deal they tried to give my girlfriend was 5000 down and 450/mos including tax. sounds about right yes.....but not fo this car.

Trying to see what lease deals will be like on 05 330s in May. Hopefully, they will be really good since im sure dealers will be trying to clear them off their lots.

Oh, and I pretty much posted this to make CrazyQuattro jealous

Why would I be jealous?

I recently drove a e46 325 and it was a dog. For that kind of money im happy with my modded A4. I do want to drive a E90 330 though! I still have high hopes to be in a E90 Coupe in the future!
Maybe ill take out a E90 this week for kicks. Also tell your girlfriend they are leasing the Audi S4 for around that price as well.

And why are you comparing a E90 325 to a E46 M3?

Dude, I feel the same. But my girlfriend loved it and felt it had enough power for her. And compared to the 05 325...it is a lot quicker. But yeah I still felt a lag.

Forgive my first post....I was running on 5 hours sleep over a 48hr period...HAd my day job, then got an all night freelance gig on a TV show...extra cash is nice....then my brain was fried test driving cars all day with my girl.

The new 3 does not blow my skirt off. And my girl isnt quite getting she cant afford one.

And I thought I make you jealous Crazy...cause i drove one before you, and we all know you love love bimmers :P

And give me more details on leasing a S4 for around 450/month.....this sounds too good to be true.

as far as sportiness and stiffness, the 3 series has gone downhill since the mid 90s model.

my friend has like a 93 (not sure on the year) 318Ci and that sucker handles like no other, considering its engine size and year. stock, that thing is LOW as hell too. zero wheel gap, esp in the rear.

ever since then, luxury seems to have taken over the sportiness. which could be a good thing for most ppl

speedwise- a 325 isnt too bad. sure its not as quick as the CL-S, but its pretty respectable for a 2.5 L. dont underestimate german horsies.

I'm wondering how you can lease an S4 for $450 too. If you put down $14,000-$15,000 then yeah, you can lease one for around $450.

I would have her go look at the TL. You can get a TL w/ Navi, put $5,000 down and you would be around $380-400 a month. Or the current IS wouldnt be bad. You could get one fully loaded under 30,000 and have the lease around $350.

The 325i is a nice car but for the $$$ there are much nicer cars out there.

I remember reading that the new 325i actually shares the same engine with the 330i, only it's been detuned. So I wouldn't have expected it to be much slower.

I couldnt find any current info and i think the lease speical ended. It was for a 2004 A4 10k a year for $499 a month.

Im sure you can still get close to that if you work the dealer.

The new 325 feels very similar to the 05 330. a little slower.

I think one of those 325's might belong to my friend, so get away from it, now! My friend from Calabasas just ordered one from a Beverly Hills BMW dealer and she's getting it on May 2 because that's the ''nationwide debut'' of the new BMW 3-Series. They wouldn't even let her take it home before May 2. She's been waiting for the car for months, I'm willing to bet one of those cars belong to her.

She better hope that its not. If I ordered a car and the dealer was out letting people drive it around I would be VERY pissed off with them. If anyone at the dealer had driven the car I ordered they would have to knock a couple g's off or I'll order it from someone else.

I have a feeling that they are demos though.
