I don't know why you are making your high school out to be so elite and special - look at their admission section of their website - you would think that they would only pick the top 200 applicants, but they just pick the first 200:
If the Collegiate High School receives more than 200 applications for admission, federal law requires that a lottery be held to select 200 students for admission. If necessary, the lottery will be held on March 24, 2007.


If you aren't convinced yet, why not take a peak at their application - do you not have to have a GPA or at least report grades to get in?
