I love the new SLK 55. The Boxter S is nice, but the 55 is just nuts with that big 8 stuffed under the hood.

Top Gear - Mercedez CLS55 AMG

http://www.brunssum.net/~bartcamp/Me...ew@TopGear.wmv

repost or not here it is =D. I notice top gear has a pretty good sound track, do you guys know what the song being played is when Jeremy Piven is talking about the Mercedez quality and mentions JD Associates etc?

Clarkson is right when he talks about the quality issues. Quality is not the only worry but the high price of up keep as well. For instance, one of the door sensor went bad on my 05 S, guess how much it cost to fix it? $7.50 for the actual sensor and $ 210.00 for the labor By the way the new S

Seems to me you like classical music my friend. I have no clue as to what is playing in the background, as far as title and composer, but what i can say is that you should get yourself acquainted with some Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, ludvig van beethoven, Fryderyk Chopin and some Claude Debussy.

Yup it wasnt covered, coz it was a fault on my part that led to the sensor failure.

Motor sounds amazing! If it werent for shoddy reliability (and yes M-B IS improving) it would be in my wishlist.

yea I was kinda surprised that the 360CS was faster.... if it indeed is the fault of the tires, I would hope they could test the 430 again with proper tires...

Excellent hookup, srika...Mind you, for some weird reason (according to my sources), he'll end up sounding like he prefers the M5 in the episode that happens the week after this one. Go figure.

Don't think so. I haven't heard him swoon THIS much about any car, ever. Even if he likes a car a LOT, he usually has some bones to pick with it, and complains about at least a few other trivial things.... this car, he had to DIG for something bad..... and it really sounded like he was saying those things JUST for the sake of saying something negative. After watching this video, I definitely get the feeling that this car is really something special.

btw...... Ferrari's production model V8 has had an 8500 rpm redline since the introduction of the F355 in 1994...

also - the rev limiter is set at 8800-9000 rpm.

Doesn't the new M5 do that on a V10?

My car only goes up to 6250. And even then, it doesn't do very much

I was impressed with the convertible, still being relatively close to the hardtop.
