What about the donkies?
Overall, I didn't like the Colombia special. It was boring and predictable. I did enjoy the bridge crossings. They. Are. Crazy. There were also some funny parts here and there.

The liked the country special. Wasn't as good as the first episode but yeah still one of the best of the Grand Tour. This season is shaping of very well so far. The first two seasons were decent but not great. Hopefully if this continues they will be back for a fourth season.

I liked the special, not sure if it needed to be 2 hours.
Didn't think anything of it RE: the Jeep comments.

What I thought was good about the Columbia special was Clarkson referencing Hammond's truck as a "Trump Truck" and also quipping, "How's Donald doing in his truck". Priceless.

Watched last night. Vintage TG feel, but the episode as a whole was a bit disjointed & jumpy.

At the 44:04 mark, Hammond's race suit says "Tit Face" on the right side. Calrkson's says "Ball Bag". Then one car with "Le Coq" on the side, then another car with a sports drink "ortanus" and "Lebendover suppositories"
These guys are off the chain.

^ Long running gag from the TG days.
IIRC, their self-grown diesel endurance racer had a similar livery on it.

Jeremy Clarkson has been working with Amazon Prime's streaming arm since he left the BBC and Top Gear in 2015. However, that relationship is not likely to last into 2025, Variety reports.
Citing its own sources, Variety claims that Amazon Prime Video is "likely" planning to stop working with Clarkson after already-ordered episodes of his two programs, Clarkson's Farm and The Grand Tour, wrap in 2024. Under the expected plan, Clarkson would finish out his existing agreements with the company before both parties move on at the end of the deal. That would likely mean a third season of Clarkson's Farm and four more episodes of The Grand Tour.
The decision is a response to Clarkson's widely derided column about Meghan Markle, which blamed her for the actions of her husband, Prince Harry. Clarkson took particular heat for a reference to a scene in Game of Thrones, suggestingthat Markle be "made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her."
Clarkson apologized for the column a few days after it ran, then again on Instagram Monday. In the second apology, he also announced that he has already apologized to Markle and Prince Harry directly.
"Usually, I read what I’ve written to someone else before filing, but I was home alone on that fateful day, and in a hurry," Clarkson wrote in his Instagram apology Monday. "So when I'd finished, I just pressed send. And then, when the column appeared the next day, the land mine exploded."
While no change in plans has been formally announced, Amazon called off an upcoming press conference to promote Clarkson's Farm shortly after the Variety report was released Monday.

Not surprised. Clarkson has been a lightning rod for a long time and has gotten away with a lot of things that should have gotten him canned. This may be the final straw.

Yeah, I'm not sure how many more of these they have in them
Saw an article that May isn't interested in going on if Clarkson stops. Similar sentiment when they left TG. IIRC, BBC offered the show to H/M, but they weren't interested without Jeremy.

Probably.
I think the boys got some heat after the Clarkson/Markle fracas.

I'm sure they'll land somewhere else. They make the production company a LOT of money, it's only a matter of time.
I'd be more interested in them going back to the old TG version of a few big trips here and there with a bunch of car reviews and history lessons. New TG sucks.

Yeah, it got a bit better when Martin left, and it was Leblanc, Harris & Rory.
I haven't seen the new trio that took over after them, and those episodes aren't on the free SamsungTV TG channel. It's probably 85% the good stuff, with a bit of the Leblanc series in there.

The Leblanc, Rory and Chris version was much better than the one with Martin, but it felt overly scripted. The current version feels more natural, like the three of them are actually friends when the cameras aren't rolling. If you go in not expecting the same thing that Clarkson, Hammond and May brought to TG, the new iteration really isn't bad. But Freddie Flintoff crashed back in December and they halted production on the latest series.
