Tailpipe Expander?

I saw this tailpipe expander and was wondering if anyone has ever used this, or really knows more about these?

I've never seen anything like that. I wonder what the stresses on the metal are when you do that.

It's a flaring tool. They use it if they want to connect a smaller pipe to a larger pipe. You can flare the smaller one so you have a gradual transition.

What do you need it for?

Just go to an exhaust shop and have them do what you want. I would probably charge someone 5 dollars to modify a pipe.

I went to the doc once for a case of constipation. He used something similar to fix me.

If you don't pound on the expander it is gentle enough so cracks won't form. It is much easier with a machine. The only time I've ever had to use the hand ones are when a pipe is on the car and either it doesn't make sense to take it off (or you can't, and don't want to cut it) or if you are lazy and just need a minor adjustment.

Thats a pretty small expander. Only goes from 1 7/16 to 2"

I have one that i use on occasion. Works best if you use a impact wrench.
What are your intentions or is your need for?

Just watch out for loose and smelly exhaust.

So I've been told.
