It's in Fairfax... anyone near that area? PM me if you are.... I asked a "NSX guy" to check the car out for me, but I'm uncertain he will have time to inspect the car this week or not....

^ I like to check things in 3 stages:
1. Person checks it out and gives me initial report (before I waste a flight).
2. I then fly out and check it out personally. If it's as good as advertised, then...

Picked up the car... I'm back... oh the drama....
Well, I finally picked up my NSX yesterday. Flew out to DC and made the deal. The car is 9/10 exterior and interior. I was REALLY surprised what GREAT shape it was in for 53k miles! The trip was pretty fun and I decided to drive straight through.... that is, until I hit some debris in Indiana and blew out a rear tire. The spare was jacked so I was screwed until the late AM. I hung out with a few ppl @ a Hampton and we basically just chilled until around 7. I then started to call looking for replacements, but no one local had the size. I did remember a tire rack around 20 miles back, so I rented a car and brought the tire there for them to mount/balance. I then changed the tire and headed back home. It started out being an awesome day (picked up the car on my bday) until the blow out. But it could have been MUCH worse and I'm glad nothing serious happened. Absolutely love the NSX and color! Here are a few pics....

Very nice. I'm partial to the NSXs with the pop up headlights and the black a-pillars. Just think they look more stealth. I know pop up headlights and stealth aren't exactly the same.

Wow it definitely could have ended up being MUCH much worse! How did the TireRack people react? It looks like a warehouse more than a point of sale for them so I wonder what they thought.
It sucks the whole thing probably ended up being a lot more expensive than you expected!

dang man congrats! how many total miles did you put in the NSX from DC to Chicagoland?
3 car garage, lucky! now, you need to buy a third car!! maybe you can get an 08 TL type S and you'll have the complete Acura garage.

Only one tire? Was the other one new? Isn't it dangerous to have one new and one used tire? I have only had one blowout with my s2k but I was told it's better to change both rears out. They were worn so I replaced both.

only because its somewhat relevant, I know Ive told you about it in the past.. I picked up my Supra on your birthday, 10 years ago (6/19/1998). pretty weird you got your NSX on the same day 10 yrs later.
