It's definitely perspective distortion. 16mm is extremely wide on a full frame body. When you use such a wide lens at close range, it gives objects a "fun house" appearance.

I would honestly LOVE to have an M3. The parts available for these cars to look and perform even better is crazy, as is evident by this beautiful machine. I wish!
