Nice. Good luck with the new car. Those g37s are so nice especially with a 6 speed

Manual transmission, more power and rear wheel drive will make you think twice about swapping back.

That's a nice swap. How long do you get the G for?

I agree, but he only drove a manual "once". I'm not so sure he had anything to lose.

Please post pics and comments, I enjoyed your 911 pics and story last time.

And for everyone who was wondering, the E38 7 (94-01) were the last ones to be offered with a manual transmission.

yeah, im sure i'll be a little hesitant to give it back...im gonna take it for a few months, get the TL back for a month and enough ttime to give it a good detail, then take the G back for a few more months...yeah, my uncle's a good guy, he's got a few nice cars and he enjoys the TL as it's a practical car for him...in my old neighborhood on long island (much like any neighborhood on LI), there are nothing but stop signs and its too congested for him to truly appreciate the G...he went on vaca for a week and all he wanted to do was drive the G, when he got home he was upset that he had to get on parkways to get out of 3rd gear, so he said that he'd rather me enjoy it for him since here in the burbs of philly, i'll give it the love it deserves

Nice, I like swapping cars, you get a feel for other cars that way. Hope you remember how to drive..... I don't know how the clutch is on the newer Gs but I've heard its even more finicky than on the older ones.

^got one uncle with an older passat, and the other has a 5pd 3 series, too bad that he's over 2000kms away

you should pick up driving a standard pretty quickly, although i would be laughing pretty hard to see someone stall a newer G, it just seems that the only cars i've seen being stalled were a bunch of old crappy cars

Mine too. He has two vehicles--a '96 suburban and '85? Cherokee 2 door--and neither of them run. Lame uncles FTL.

He also has a '71 roadrunner w/out a motor.
