Swapalease... Tell me about it, and experiences if you have them
AS the title says
I just wandered onto this as I have been thinking of getting a new car.
I plan on calling tomorrow to get the scoop.
Have any of you ever gotten a car from them ?
Pros, Cons, Tator salad ?
Thanks (and hola amigos )

I've heard about and checked out swapalease dot com before, but it seems like most of the people on there got suckered into some crappy deals or had tons of negative equity added to their leases so they aren't attractive.
Some auto financing companies won't allow you to change "owners". I haven't checked it out in a few years, but there weren't too many listings in the area (or even state) for the cars I was looking at.

A friend/co-worker of mine used them about 2 years ago twice... once to get rid of his car, and once to lease another car. He had no problems either way. He leased his BMW 540i to someone in Mass and leased a Range Rover for the winter right after.
Once you find a car you want you basically hook up with the seller individually and work out the details.

I was thinking the same thing from what I read, and some have some very nice incentives ($2500 +)

^ Yeah. And with some that have lower incentives, you may be able to negotiate higher ones after you show interest....
I think the Range Rover my friend leased was only for like 4 months (which got him through the winter, then he bought an M3) and the incentive was $1000. He got it up to $1500 and the "seller" also payed the transfer fees.
So if someone really wants to get out of their lease, you can usually get a little more incentives thrown your way...
