I recently flew in to buy a car...
and I will say I will never buy site unseen again...
but I do recommend finding a local of whatever you're gonna buy to see if its the car for you first.
Can't wait to see what you got...current gas prices tell me it's not a hellcat...but you have soul and you're getting it already so it's not a tesla.
Thinking maybe an Audi or Mazda.

What other issues did you find?

I did drive one locally, but it had aftermarket Katzkin leather and apparently that made a huge difference. I was planning on doing that too but discovered some other things that made me decide to abandon ship.
So, for one, the car had paint work done at some point. I noticed one day looking at a certain angle that there were tiny ripples in the body just above the drivers door. Really hard to see except if the light hit it just right. Then as I inspected the area more I noticed a rough area around the drip rail. No way I would’ve noticed that if I didn’t run my hand along it looking for something. When I sold the car to the dealership he said paint work was definitely done. He said it wasn’t done poorly, it just needed to be corrected. That was the first thing. Of course the CARFAX was clean so it either got done by the previous owner off the record or by the dealership that sold it to me.
The other things involved electronics. The Wireless Apple CarPlay would disconnect almost daily and the infotainment screen would go black. That happened a couple times a week. While I appreciated the adaptive cruise, it was just rough at times braking way too hard and suddenly. Maybe that’s how they all are, but I didn’t like it. The last one was the straw that broke the camels back. Twice on hot days I tried remote starting the car and it never actually started. When I did start the car afterward I got a check engine light saying there was an emissions issue. Luckily all I had to do was disconnect the battery and it went away after driving a few miles. Not the end of the world but after dealing with the other annoyances I felt like I had already moved on from the car and started looking for something else.

Damn, that's no fun. Did you end up taking a loss on it?
I've noticed similar annoyances with Android Auto in my fiance's CRV. So it's possible it's a Honda thing and not just your luck of the draw.

And yeah, the infotainment issue part of it is a Honda thing. That honestly wasn’t that big of a deal, but when everything added up, especially the horrible seat comfort, I was done.

Cost of doing business, fuck it...
you ain't happy...now you hopefully will be.
This is a BIG reason why I keep my previous car (or 6 in my case) for a WHILE
before deciding if the new piece of ass is better than what I got at home.
Gotta let the honeymoon period cool off to decie.

I wish I wasn't a cheap-a5s and would just get something high end like a RS6, but it's not in my DNA. I'm a sucker for affordable performance.

Hence why I'm driving a cheap Malibu, affordable, not performance
Champagne taste on a Miller Lite budget
Things are improving, now that we're debt free, but avoiding adding new debt & banking the savings away.
My next will likely be a truck or SUV, but undecided & in no hurry.

Elantra N…bravo. Much better choice than the accord. Honestly I thought I was an odd choice coming from a muscle car but I don’t judge (just rib).
hopefully that is more comfortable. Did you get ample seat time to make sure?
I don’t know that I’ll ever get another gas car but that Kona N is cool little speedster.

I had a 15 mile drive home and then took the wife and kids on a little ride, so I’ve put about 30 miles on it, which isn’t a lot, but right away when I sat in the car I realized I had WAAAY more legroom than the Accord and the seats hugged my arse like a glove and felt great. A lot of N owners say they get even better once they break in, too. Definitely giving up some creature comforts but the driving position and fun factor make up for that big time.
Thanks T. It was on my radar when I started looking at the Accord, but there were hardly any out yet and I honestly never thought I’d ever own a Hyundai, but my parents are on their 4th Kia and have only good things to say about them. The warranty is a really good selling point too. Everyone told me not to buy a Dodge but I did and had a great ownership experience, so I’m hoping the N will deliver like the Charger did.

My gripe with the Accord sport is I see them everywhere (not a bad thing, hell there are challengers and teslas everywhere) but 99% of the owners are wannabe bimmer douche bags. They think they are nascars drivers. Same thing with Camry se and xse drivers.

I didn't even realize that the Elantra N existed. Shows how much I keep up with the Korean brands, but simply, wow. That car looks awesome inside and out. I'm about to Google the specs on it now!! Congratulations!

I am a little shocked but very happy for you.
I love the new line of SUV from both North Korean manufacturers...I just still can't picture myself getting one.
I'm assuming you got the dual clutch?
Dude it's an entire SECOND faster to 60 than the manual (5.4 vs 6.4)...crazy! Congrats, man...it's a lot of car for whatever you paid, I'm sure.

So far it's living up to the reviews. As long as it's reliable I'll keep it for a long, long time.
I do really like the white and light blue they come in, but my first choice was Cyber Gray because the one thing I absolutely loved about the Accord was the color. It's close, but different enough.

Congratulations! Love that color! And the seats look awesome. Enjoy the sporty ride.
After you put some more miles in, I'd be curious to hear your longer-term thoughts and anything you miss from the Accord.

I’ll need my investments to recover and double before that would happen lol
Thanks bro! It’s definitely sportier than the Accord to say the least. I’ll let you know what I do and don’t miss from the Accord. So far the only thing I really miss is having a sunglasses holder ha ha. Not sure why they have a light panel the size of a basketball up there. Very weird. The steering is also way heavier than the Accords, which will take getting used to. The seats are awesome but definitely heavily bolstered, so they hug tight, but I hear they break in so keeping my fingers crossed that happens. They’re still more comfortable than the Accord’s though.
600 mile break in, so not burnouts yet. It’s hard but I’m trying to stay out of boost and keeping it below 4k RPM.
