My very soon future plans for the Charger are 180 degree thermostat and bumper plugs so I can take the front plate off. Long term future plans are shorty headers and hi-flow cats/mids. Maybe long long term a cam.
Thanks man, I appreciate that. It's a fun car. Its funny I lived in AZ for almost 7 years and never had a rear wheel drive car out there, then I move to TN and I get one. Oh well. Glad to hear your TL is still kicking, but I'm sure it's time for a new car. What are you looking at getting?

Glad you're doing well out there. I'm not sure what I want to get and can't afford anything right now anyways. Probably going to drive that thing to the ground. lol

You reset your fan temps on the Predator right? I hear it's set at 200 so you just decrease it 20 across the board?
That's true. There's so many guys that are running strokers on the LX forum it's amazing the amount of moula these guys are putting into their cars. I'm just stoked just to have the 345 I can't imagine a 392 or 426. Must be completely insane.

Another guy with the 6.1 had it stroked out to a 426.
Mean stuff...I'm just not sure I love the sound of the exhausted of a stroked out motor...seemed hollow to my ear. But it could have just been their set up.
For the T-Stat...I had it done at the same time I had my custom tune...so I don't know because I didn't do it. I can't imagine it's too difficult.

Make sure you look at the video for the tstat install. Use the gallon sandwich bag method. Makes life easy.

That's what I did. Actually I did 15 to start & then went to 18 then went back to 15. I think for my climate that's good because I don't want the fans to be on all the time. It's too hot & I heard the 6.1 likes 200 degrees so it's sits at 197 mostly now.
Yeah those builds are insane. I'm blessed to live down the block from AMP. Some sick things they do. And they cost a ton! More then what I can afford.

I definitely felt an increase in performance once the car was fully warmed up on my test drive. Glad I did this mod. I also raised the tranny shift points to 6200 RPM.

Yeah I know. I did a lot of reading and there's so many varying opinions on both the T-Stat and raised shift points. I didn't see any concrete evidence of serious issues with either so I guess I'll take my chance.

Tuners lead to Tstats, Tstats lead to headers, headers lead to intake manifolds...The path to the darkside those are...

Not sure what the stock ones run...tstat keeps the engine running at a cooler temp.
The RTs and SRTs getting hotter than a motherfucker, you can actually feel in the cabin on long drives.
And the SRTs have aluminum intake manifolds so they are prone to heat soak.

None of the tuners can mess with the trans other then raise shift points & the rev limiter. Something like a valve body or a tranzformer shift kit can adjust shift pressures,(hard or soft)WOT rpm, shift points, etc. I have the tranzformer & it's pretty cool. Also has "tools" like burn out mode, & line lock,

What Sarlacc said, to keep the temps down. The stock thermostat is a 206, where this one is 180. I need to play with the fan settings more though because after a few WOT runs today it climbed to 203 when yesterday on my test drive it only got to 194.

Just some small updates. I added "345" badges over the "HEMI" badges on the fenders like the new SRT8 "391" has. I'm debating painting the inside red but it's kind of cool being subtle like it is. I also had some oval tips welded on. The shop was not the best so they're slightly wonky which drives me crazy so I'm sure it won't be long before I have them straightened out. I have some Lumin-X yellow fog light overlays I still have to install and I'm going to be ordering my Daytona-style black grachics and a rear bumper lower diffuser soon.
