I googled "hot shift knob solutions" and found this. http://www.ricks2k.com/products/AllL....php#KnobSocks

^ Whoa, how light is it? Does shifting feel weird with it being lighter?

It's weighted, so it's about the same weight as the stock 6spd knob, so no difference in shift feel.

Coupla solutions:

1. Switch to a Ti shift knob. My VooDoo Ti Magnum doesn't get as hot as the OEM knob from my S (OEM knob now sits on my desk at work.)

2. Oakley sunglasses come with a little microfiber baggie/cloth, I throw that over the knob and it keeps it cooler.

Heh... Soon as I got the sock I decided that I preferred my stock Hurst shift knob. Weighted shift knobs worked on my Integra and they seem to work on Hondas in general but I can slam the gears with more accuracy and authority with my OE shift knob.

I would just go back to stock honestly. The TL's stock knob looks better than 99% of all these aftermarket ones anyway....

The feel and look of the Skunk2 trumps stock in every way, at least to me. Perhaps it's because I've had it on there since I even test drove it.

Bit the bullet and finally ordered one the other day, after realizing the ones at Walmart were pretty pricey.

BTW - I don't think the suggestion was meant to keep it on there the entire time, just when you're out of the car on a hot day.

Do they make Voodoo knobs for Acuras? I didn't swap my knob (hehe) out because it looks sweet (even though it does), I did it because it's lower (giving a shorter throw) and MUCH heavier (giving it more positive shift action.) Also, I have big manly hands, and the dainty little stock knob wasn't nearly big enough for me.

But yeah, tell me this knob isn't sweet looking:

Here's the one I had back when I had an Acura (not that it matter since it was an auto, but there was an identical knob available for the stick shift, too):

^^^I'm talking about the stock TL 6MT knob that looks similar to the S2000/Civic Si/TSX one...

Yeah, I know which one you mean. My problem with it is that it's so frickin' dainty. I can't even palm it because it's too small. I needed something with some SUBSTANCE to it. And it did get hot, too, because of the steel and leather.

Now the OEM one sits on my desk at work.

^ I actually have the same problem. I have bigish hands and the stock Accord 6mt knob (same as the S200/TL/Civic Si) is too small, as is my replacement carbon fiber one. I'm thinking about trying out a ball style carbon fiber knob instead. It should be a bit bigger and give me something more substantial to wrap my mitts around.

The new Carbon Fiber shift knob. Slightly larger and heavier, shifting blissssss... and never gets hot in the summer.

The old 6 speed version and the new ball style version next to each other to show the slight size difference.

The 6 speed version will be listed in the black market.
