Suckers!

The "Let's Refuel America" promotion is available for new buyers until June 2, 2008. The promotion includes a three-year price hold on gas prices on many of Chrysler's models. The way the program works is that Chrysler issues new buyers a gas card that is attached to their personal credit card. Every time the card is used it will charge the buyer's personal credit card $2.99 per gallon (87 octane, E85 fuel or diesel fuel). The remaining amount will be picked up by Chrysler.
I got to thinking about this last night.

Today's "National Average" gas price/gal.: Current Avg. $2.547

Chrysler buyer =
Chrysler = Winner. (yea I know they are being "sold"...but in terms of this deal, they win)

Domestics can't do anything right these days. Except for the Challenger and Camaro.

I was wondering about this when it first came out.

If the Let's Refuel America card is used to purchase fuel at a price less than $2.99, the lower price will be charged, and the gallon usage will be applied against the maximum annual allotment

Chrysler isn't the only one, Airline companies are hurting for doing the same. Southwest I think is one of them, same with Jet Blue?

I think this will help anyone with a diesel vehicle. That being said, how many diesel cars dose Chrysler sell? 0

How many diesel trucks / jeeps do they sell? Some, and those are still the winners.

And a big "L" for the gas buyers that bought solely for that reason....

well futures depends on a couple things.
#1. upcoming election Tues. This my 2 cents so take it for what it's worth. I think large oil companies(BP,Exxon Mobil, Shell, etc) will slowly drill more if McCain/Palin gets in. so the more oil you put in the system it doesn't become a item that's hard to get so resulting in lower prices. HOWEVER even if McCain/Palin and everything goes as planned this project won't be in full effect (more drilling) for years.
#2. The collapse of Saudis in OPEC. OPEC holds TONS of oil, we've told the Saudis for years OPEC "the devil." now we've let them see it so when you're "star quarterback" leaves your team and you got a bunch at best "average" players you're gonna be hurting and fighting among themselves. I think MAYBE(cross our fingers) OPEC will crumble without the Saudis. The assholes(i mean OPEC) have let Chavez "run his mouth" to the wrong people(like U.S.A. and other nations that buy oil of his). when he runs his mouth and we pay the bill for his oil it's like our country says fuck it we won't buy oil from Chavez. i Know China, and other developing nations will take it but you don't bite the hand that feeds you.
and if you are gonna say stuff about your customer or clients do it in a VERY SELECTIVE group behind closed doors. so it doesn't leak out.

i think they only saved like $500 over the 3 years at their summertime rates. It's just another way to cheapen the domestics
