My last tank I got 25 mpg I think my best was 26, worst was 22. May be better with more miles. I calculate by hand btw.

I don't drive like an idiot, but my commute is short so I take a lot of short, city-only trips.

Long highway distance is what pushes it up.
During short distance or a city, MPG drops faster than it goes up on highway

My commute is 45 miles.
40 of it is highway.
Many hills in this state. It sucked for the heavy TL but BRZ doesn't really care due to being light, so can't really say hills lower the MPG but overall never had this good MPG car in the family before.

And a little update. Mom decided to go with
Black Audi Q5 with Chestnut Brown interior
2.0 TFSI - Premium Plus
With optional 19" 5 arm-star design wheels + Bang & Olufsen Sound System + Side assist
MDX is about to leave hopefully

Dude, if you go DSLR, you will be dangerous. Your shots are already very impressive with the point and shoot.

and 400 miles to a tank!?!? That's fantastic.

Dad stoped at 45k for the Audi, 15k for the MDX trade and signed the papers today.
The one we looked at couple days ago was sold

Black 2.0T Premium Plus and Chestnut Brown interior
Audi MMI® Navigation plus package
Audi side assist
AND
Instead of Bang & Olufsen like the one we looked at, this one has Sport Pck

- Three–spoke multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles
- Sport front seats
- Four-way power lumbar adjustment for front seats

I'll take pics when we get the car.
I would've been happier with the Ban & Olufsen but oh well, 3 spoke steering feels much better than stock

Awesome night pictures, buddy!

And 400 miles on that little tank is quite astonishing as well.

The best I could do in the TL was 32mpg all highway. Running around 78mph~.

Thanks Austiiiin
Because all you guys got is flat roads haha
Without leaving the state, best I was able to do was 26 with the TL
So that's why 33 was a big jump to me. Same roads

Like your mom, my sister is considering a Q5. She really likes the Macan though.

I always get the feeling of camaraderie with the twins. Just seeing a modded one in person, I start looking around to see who's looking at my car too feels good to meet people with the same car.

But when you see a fellow twin owner and they don't look up to wave back

Macan we would've bought comes to $57k
Q5 dropped to $45k from $49.8

Macan having the worst MPG and a brand brand newww car, pushes away when it's for mom.
Me? I would pick Macan with no package at all for 51k.. well, has alcantara seats haha

Tell her to get Macan and if she doesn't change cars often, yes yes yes she should get Macan
You get a free hand wash everywekk from the service

--------

Hahhh I love it too
Especially Subie drivers, allll the time, gives you or waves at you
Many STI WRX and modded Subarus here but not really BRZs
Soo many happened I stopped counting, but Scion drives? Assholes usually
It's the Subie soul I guess haha

For sure an UEL header is on my wishlist. Thinking about getting the catted one from FT86speedfactory. It won't pass smog in my state, but at least it won't give off the smell and will cut down on rasp.

Exactly same here, because I guess that's the only catted unequal header out there.
I have no clue about tuning though. Noooo idea at all. So many things about it.

Cut down on rasp? You got afterm. catback too? What mods have you done on the car haha

Yeah I've read about tuning a lot but I think I'm going to find a trusted local tuner so I can get updates whenever I add stuff. I'm okay with installing my own bolt ons but tuning scares me a bit. The best thing about a tune +header is it'll open up a lot of torque under the curve.

I haven't done much. I plan to get a Corsa catback. The way they design theirs, I know it has no drone.

Audi Q5

Finally I am back
Was lazy to edit and upload pics
Went to the National Meet, had an amazing weekend. I'll come to that after edit/upload the pictures from the meet.

But first, Q5

-----------------------

Here some of my comments,

I used to hate Q5, but this new details headlights/tails and especially 20" Sport Pckg rims really make the car look perfect on the road.
Saw couple other ones on highway as well and they looked great to me.

Technology? Too much, everything is Auto, even the high beams knob, or the light between the unlock/lock buttons on the door, everything has a bulb and etc.
Do I like? Nope, I even hate Auto headlights... I hate whatever is Auto, which is why I love BRZ

Anyways, one feature that I didn't know and was really suprised is the WIFI on the car, it has a Tmobile sim card in it and could use the car as 3g wifi. It's like that satellite radio... free 3g for 3-4 months.

Mom does 24 MPG AVG... Was 17 with the MDX

Performance, engine. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Car goes, TQ is there to drive the car as a DD sooo easily. Climbs up there so smooth. Hard to explain but 2.0T really puts down good power even with those wheels.

Overall? As a guy that's been in a X5,MDX,FX.... what I say now is, Q5 is the only second car that's should be at the garage.

Gas, performance, look, features, how it drives and etx, are just how it suppose to be. Best
Also, interior is so quiet on the road. Very close to the 2004 E-Class we had, as dad says too...

Interior feels bigger than FX, or I should say more spacious...
Front view which mom cares of is much wider than MDX, which makes it easy to drive for her.
I noticed it too, I guess front windshield is wider than MDX or curved, I don't know but you see wider from the front seats...

But at the end, nothing is like a BRZ
No way I would drive this car as a daily. As I said, perfect weekend long trip car with wifey or kids...

Edit: Oh... finally I didn't have to replace the license plate bulb on a car we bought Yess!!!!!!!!

But isn't Corsa single exit?
I steped away from catback. First priorty is the unequal header, since that's what really will give me what I want...the Subie rumble
STI/EVO shops are crazy here, know a close friend that has both of the cars, fully modded too but I am staying away from them because he will add the Rocket Bunny kit to the car when he sees me.

Well, header will need a tune and etc as well... soo I just stay stock for now
I need winter rims
Might get Gold XXR535 17x7 in

Yup, Subie driver now

New Parts for the Baraza

Raceseng Ashiko Shift Knob - 735grams (1.62lbs)
Cosworth dry drop in filter
Avo silicone inlet tube

This intake tube is wider and thicker plus has some weird stuff inside the plastic surrounding to keep the heat away. Stock tube was may be double times thinner than the TL's stock tube Sucks the heat instead of air.

Shift knob sits maaaaybe 1mm lower than stock, which was exactly what I was looking for Happy with it

At 8k now. So far so good.
One item in wish lisht though.
I never use the cruise control, never did in TL too. Wish pulling the cruise knob towards you was a button for skipping tracks (audio).
Because it's a screen, it's impossible for fingers to get used to where buttons are at + screen becomes finger prints :/

Wish even that whole cruise knob was for Audio just like the one my cousin had in his Peugeot 406 Coupe in 2000 when I was in Istanbul

Up/Down was volume
Forward/backwars was track

So that's my only complain about BRZ haha

Yeah, I changed my priority to header too now. See my build thread just can't decide which. Tomei is releasing a $750 UEL soon. Corsa is dual exit

I want to get wider wheels and tires, but gonna try and learn on the stockies at first. My Camaro taught me some good habits, but bad ones as well. I put 275 summer performance tires on it and I relied on tire grip too much. Going to an autocross this weekend.

The beauty of these cars is best described by the adage, "it's funner to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" I had buddies with 350-500+ awhp STIs and Evos and the fun got old for them quick because they never tracked their cars and they hated driving their cars on the street. You can't use all that power legally.

Openflash Tablet is the best bang for your buck mod for driveability. It's not all about power, but the tune optimizes the powerband. If you're planning to stay N/A, I highly recommend it. Very easy to use.

MX-5/S2000/86. Worst kept secret today. I still toy around with the idea of getting an NA Miata as a little project. But then I know I'd end up putting a V8 in it
