Angry Stuck spark plugs

Azine, I have a problem. We were doing the 105K service and we can't get the spark plugs out. 4 out of 6 are stuck and I'm afraid of puling too hard and damaging the actual block. Have any of you had a similar experience? I'm hoping someone has some insight.

It is a 03 MDX but this is a problem that could happen on any make/model so I'm thinking Car Talk is the way to go.

They are the original plugs.

Thanks in advance.

What are you using to remove them? If you're using one of those ridiculous T-handle spark plug removers, then toss it away. Purchase a correct spark plug socket. It's generally a six point deep socket with a rubber insert at the top of it. You will also need an extension and a proper ratchet. You need to make sure you have proper leverage to remove the plug.

If this doesn't work, then re-install the plugs you took out. Start the car and run it until normal operation temperature. Shut off the engine and then try again. If they still refuse to come out, then spray the base of the plug liberally with penetrating fluid while the engine cools down.

They should come out. Again, make sure you have a correct six point socket and proper ratchet and extension.
