Stolen, chopped Ford GT is the saddest thing you'll see all day

The Ford GT is one of the best American sports cars in ages, and also one of the most desirable.
No, the Ford GT didn't make the list of “most stolen vehicles,” but that doesn't make it immune from theft, as this report from U-T San Diego makes painfully clear.
Case in point: These remains of a 2005 Ford GT that was stolen in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
The 800-mile example was bought in 2004 and was supposed to be a family heirloom. But someone had other plans.
After being stolen from its owner's home, the car was “recovered” a matter of weeks later.
Sadly it was too late, as thieves had dismantled the car and hacked the frame to pieces. Parts from the car were found in multiple locations, and those responsible have been arrested.

I wouldn't even fool around like that, it's going to be a classic case of: once you put it back together you have 4 screws left over and no idea where they belong. (And sadly, in this case, I think it'll be more on the order of 40 screws)

Sad day for that poor car. Saw one in Bangkok, and it was incredible.

Very Sad. That said, I'd probably need counseling if i ever came across images of a Nissan GTR in such a state!
