There are a couple of dedicated Saab tuners out there so it's possible.

Looks more like a rice muffler than a performance exhaust. I dont see that type of muffler on Saabperformance.com and there's not a big performance aftermarket for Saabs.

That aside, many Saabs are boosting so a performance exhaust should be pretty helpful (in theory at least).

The thing I respect about Saab is for the 4-cylinders(in the 9-3)(not the 9-2x) they are fairly quick cars. also they get pretty good mileage for having a turboed high output motor.
