STI vs. EVO???
i was flipping through tuner mags at the airport and these cars are covered a lot. i don't really know anything about these cars so...what's the major difference? they seem pretty similar to my untrained eye, just different manufacturers.
not thinking of getting one, i just think they are interesting cus the available list of mods for these cars is so extensive. so, nobody ever puts 19's on these things cus they want to retain all the performance they can?

^^ that doesnt mean anything to a car enthusiast
you have to throw beef on all the power distribution stuff on the evo and its an all around better spec'd car than the subaru. its faster on the stretch and i bet all its gadgetry makes it handle better.
look wise.
on both but the subaru looks more like a pizza delivery car. so. EVO all the way.

I've driven both, '04 models. For what its worth I found the STi a better street car and the EVO a far more superior driver's car. The STi threw me off guard with its power. I couldn't believe it was a 4-cylinder to tell you the truth. THere was no imminent lag and it feels quicker than the EVO, but power aside, the EVO for me was more thrilling. The responsiveness, the handling were far more superior plus it has a plethora of aftermarket support and a seemingly indestructable motor.

I've driven both, if it was to be a daily driver it'd be the STi. It wasn't as bone jarring and had more torque which I found important.

There's like 98902 articles on this already... a google search will land lots of information on both vehicles to hopefully bring you to an informed decision. All you'll get in this post is personal opinions with the questions you asked. It's good some people are pointing you to articles and videos though

And why would the company being "on the verge of bankruptcy have anything to do with an Evo vs STi? I hope you dont mean for warranty issues, because if own either of these two cars, you know there is no warranty
