Angry stevens creek acura

This dealership is so disrepectful. What is it, i mean did i do something wrong going in there, trying to get some help? I mean why is everytime i go there there is this fat ass philipino guy and a white young ass that looks like hes from the OC, treat me and my family with such disrecpect? So i go in there to get a appraisal for my acura tl and they come out of the finance dept. and look at me with this dirty stare and asks me so what do you want? Is that it out there the white tl, what you want for it he asks i ask a resonable amount, then he says please give me a reasonable price, and rolls his eyes and cuts me off while im talking. I then realize that this is pointless so i say ok then im off. He then says i can cut you a check now for XXXX amount and starts laughing. I got so angry i just decided to walk off, and as i was driving away i see him come out and stop right in fron the of the dealers door and laugh at me and my family while i drive off, with his fat ass philipno associate. I mean you cant miss him, youll know who im talking about when you get there. But i mean i just felt dirty, and just bad for my family that was with me. People are just so disrespecful and uncalled for. I swear on my grandmothers grave i will never purchase a car from stevens creek acura. If i got one free bee beating without going to jail, i would so use it right now.

You can look in the KBB to see what your car is worth. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with dealerships unless you go in for service or trade in your car. I have mixed feelings about this dealership but there are times where some of the workers are very helpful.

I think you can make an impact. Acura seems to care more about it's customers than most others. All of the goodwill replacement transmissions they have done, even though the car is past warranty term limits, is a good example. I think if you write Acura corp. a letter of dissatisfaction with service, they will listen and call the dealer on it. Just make sure you convey your displeasure with the rude treatment you received from the specific individuals you're talking about. Don't forget to mention that you've had numerous identical experiences with the same two jackasses. They'll probably take it much more seriously if they see a constant pattern. When the general manager of the dealership gets crapped on by Acura corp., he'll go and do the same to the two douchebags.

douchebags always think they are something with the full suit on.

They really are just about the same level as Wal-Mart clerks. They usually don't know what they are selling...

If you do write a letter to Acura, you may want to consider using a multi-paragraph format.

Press "return" every now and then...

Car sales suck now. They're not going to get any take-home pay buy just buying your car from you or giving you an appraisal, and the cold hard facts of the business may be that they have too much inventory as it is and are unwilling to just buy more.

If you were in there trying to buy a car you'd probably have a different reception.

If you want an appraisal, go to CarMax. If you really want to sell your car, put it up for private sale. You will get the most money that way.

So wait, your story is hard to follow but this is what I get out of it. You went into a dealership to try and get them to buy your vehicle. You wanted way more than what they thought was reasonable, and they laughed at you. Then they lowballed you, which is what dealerships do, and you got all cranky, so they laughed at you more.

What year/make/model is your car, and how much did you tell them you wanted? If you told me you wanted $25K for your 2001 TL, I'd laugh at you too.

Without more evidence I would guess the real problem is you are too sensative.

I agree. I would contact Acura, and they should show a little more courtesy than that even if the OP did ask for more than his car was worth. Thats just bad Customer Service.

Damn that guy sounded like a fucking douche. After he woulda made a smart ass comment like that I woulda prolly called him a fucking asshole and asked to speak to his manager about him being disrepectful. Just don't go back to that place. Some people are pricks.

Los Gatos has always been better with customer service. We usually take out 2G up there even though its a bit out of the way.

gotta agree with this post too here though. When a customer tries to vouch their case, they ALWAYS sound like they're the victim. We're not getting the whole story here, just he said she said. What did you offer them? I dealt with said fat Filipino guy and he was pretty nice to me when I was looking at cars a while back. There weren't any cars on the lot that I was looking for but he was very courteous when I was talking to him..... so that makes this story even more unbelievable.

I am kind of with these guys. While what you typed regarding their behavior, if true, is unacceptable, I have to wonder what your attitude was going into that dealer.

Were you pompous b/c you expected a reasonable amount of money for your car and didn't want to hear their answer? These guys can usually read people pretty well. Additionally, I'm sure they get a ton of people coming in there with unrealistic expectations such as you did. Kind of like posting your car on Craigslist then getting offers for waaaay below asking. After a while it gets annoying.

So I'm not defending them, but I'm wondering if we're getting the full story here...

OP probably has never tried selling a car as a private party before. Talk about a pain in the ass. You thought you got lowballed by the dealer? Just you wait

How many miles are on the tl-s? If you take a look at what people are selling them for (giving them away for) it may make sense. I understand your point but trading in a car sucks, especially if you're not buying something else that can hide some of that negative equity/hit.

Edmunds TMV for that car is $10k which exactly splits the difference between you two. They didn't have any reason to laugh at you or act like douches, but you can't epect dealers to give you a good deal on a trade these days (especially if you weren't going to be buying from them). $8k not really that much of a lowball offer in that situation.

You expected a "fair" offer from a car dealer to buy your car in this market....let alone any other market condition?

Sell it private.

Trading in a car to a dealer is always gonna get you less.....but even worse is outright trying to sell the car to a dealer, while not buying a new vehicle from them.

You can easily sell it yourself for over $12,500...it's just difficult for dealers to take these 2g's in right now when 3g's are already seen selling for under 15K with decent mileage. If you were purchasing a car from them, it would be a different story. With the mark up, it's very easy to hide some money in there.

i hear ya, but there was no reason for the uncalled for attitude and just out right cocky ignorant ass attitude. And we were right in front of the store with everyone watching and listening to the conversation. I can only imagine what they said after we left.

the service dept these days are just terrible

btw: it'll be hard to get 12K for your car (or any 03 TL/S) for that matter. mainly why i'm just going to have to keep my TL and i woulda told that asshole off right in front of his fucking face.

THAT I agree and I think that you should file a complaint to Acura on this salesman/dealer. THey have a reputation to uphold and obviously this guy is only hurting it.

You should yell at him in front of other customers in the dealership. Try to be as loud as possible. No more doucheness will follow.
