wrapping it would definitely be nice and inexpensive addition.

Yes-exactly! I've done the Type S the same way. I don't want to overdo the Carbon Fiber.....
I'm hoping that GM comes out with a carbon fiber piece for the center console (where the stick shift is). That would be a perfect matching piece for the dash!
Thanks brother! Yes, you are right-that's the one thing I really wanted for this car.

WOW Steven, your car is 4 wheels of perfection! I know you heard it just a few times already but Congratulations!! You've always modded the TL tastefully and it looks like you're doing the same with the Stingray. Actually a little surprised to hear you say you're going to install Carbon Fiber side skirts and a front splitter. Probably will look good but the car just looks soo clean now. Either way, congrats again!

Thank Portland!
Jeremy, no-I am waiting to see what the aftermarket comes up with. There is a factory fix for this, which I might go ahead and do. But next will be side skirts and a front splitter.....both in Carbon Fiber.

Yes, very true. The ZO6 was introduced yesterday. The ground effects it has on it looks good for the track but not the street (in my opinion).
There are two companies that make the ground effects kits. One makes it in Carbon Fiber and the other makes it in Hydro Carbon Fiber, which is the dipped material.
I'm getting pricing on both and will pull the trigger sometime in the near future. I might wait until Springtime, but you know me....I get anxious.

Thanks KK.....I'm pretty sure I'll order the Carbon Fiber side skirts and front splitter tomorrow. It will take 2-3 weeks to make-they are made to order.
After that, I don't see anything else I want for it at this moment.

For some reason I couldn't see the pictures of it installed, but I notice on the flat bottom wheel it has trip tonic paddles for shifting. Your vette is manual or am I looking at it wrong?

Angel, the paddle shifters are for rev matching, not gear shifting!
I fixed all the links again too-check them out again.

AMAZING! Nice combo. American muscle car with a TL daily driver!
I love the C7 in red! Its just great! I would love to add a C7 with my SI as dd. But I'm still deciding. Might get a 5.0 V8 2015 Mustang in red.

There's another red Corvette on here that's got every carbon fiber piece available...I'm going to be honest, I love the Carbon Fiber added to the interior here and there, cover the engine but when it's a body kit/spoiler on anything but a black car, TO ME, from a distance it looks like an unpainted piece and doesn't flow well aesthetically. I'd rather see you find a fiberglass or abs kit and ship it to Wacker or Nexson and have them paint them for you to match.
don't kill me.

The rev match automatically raises your rev so you can downshift easier. That way, the car does the work instead of the engine doing it when you downshift.

Jeremy-that's good input. You've got me thinking about it. I agree with you about too much Carbon Fiber. There is a company that makes the silver trim on the steering wheel in Carbon Fiber. I think it's too much. Besides the silver trim on the steering wheel compliments the silver trim on the center console.
They do make the side skirts and front splitter in fiberglass!

Oh noooo...Brian's gotten soft in his old age!
I have an inkling it's my CSL spoiler that just scared him. Brian, that probably be a properly prepped OEM piece that sits low on the car....I wouldn't worry about it. You can DO EEETTT.
Steven, thanks for considering what I'm saying. I agree, I actually felt like I was happy with how your steering wheel looks too. Too much of a good thing is still too much. I've been lucky to be able to recognize (or have Betty point out) when I've gone too far or stopped me from ordering something that would detract from the look.

Steven should probably post my email on here....
Honestly, for a 75K car, its the real deal CF or nothing at all...I would mod my 75K car as a 75K car and not a honda civic with polyurethane/plastic pieces wrapped/dipped in CF...
so I vote for CF or nothing at all....

Meeks what the rev matching does is, it heel toes for you....
so when you downshift, depending on the gear, it will blip the throttle a tad bit for you...how it matters is, it lets the engine rpm catch up to the lower gear....
they tried to implement a similar feature in the 370Z auto transmission cars...start the video at 1:35....
