Spray Foam Insulation for a TL?

Any ideas on using spay foam insulation in the doors of my '97 TL? I'm trying to reduce road noise.. my idea is to open up the doors (i've examined them thoroughly) lower the windows all the way and put this stuff in there.

Anyone tried this?

i dont know about noise insulation but it should keep your car warmer/cooler. But it could be a fire hazard if a short should ever occur....

Thats a concern of mine, considering all the wires going through the doors.

Quiet car is much better than Dynaspray:

http://www.quietcar.net/

I had a 2003 Maxima (before my 300) and it had assloads of road noise I bought a few of the spray cans, pulled my wheels off and sprayed this stuff in my wheel wells, and the sound almost went away. There are some sound clips of befores and afters, and my car sounded just like that. Really loud road noise, down to almost nothing.

Thanks for pointing that product out. The wheel wells are what really make noise in any Honda/Acura car with double wishbone suspenion. The wheel wells are HUGE in that case and just make roadnoise even worse. I'm hoping the spray will fix that.

DONT USE FOAM

i remember watching horsepower TV and they did a DIY on this....you take a peice of paper and slip it between the door and frame...you slide the paper up and down finding all the empty spots

then he took this rubber looking stuff )cant remember what its called, it was black and looked like putty) and you roll it into a tube half the width of a cigerettte and just block it up
