spark plugs...?

i know this is long but PLEASE READ i need helppp

ok well this isn't about my TL thank God but its about my daily, a 2000 hyundai elantra (dont be jealous ) lol but anyways i had an extra set of pulstar plugs so i decide to put them in the hyundai and while i was doing it i was pulling out the plugs, took out the sparks, put the new ones in and one of the spark plug wires popped out like the 3rd one i think and me without thinking just plugged it back in and i started the car and it drove great and i could feel a difference in power and the car actually started up faster.
well after that i changed my oil on the TL and i try starting the hyundai again the next day and well there was a HUGE power loss, like it felt like i was running on 2 or 3 cylinders and it felt like it was gonna die and soon enough the check engine light comes on. So i come home thinking the pulstars are messing it up i put the old ones back in and well it still did the same thing, and well a friend of mine was saying i probably plugged them in the wrong order which caused it to misfire or w/e so he fixed it and the check engine light went away, but later when i drove the car again it felt like it was gonna die and the check engine light came on AGAIN. well i made it home thankfully and i messed with the wires, tightened the plugs, even changed the plugs BACK to the pulstars and the car hasn't been able to start since. and well the hyundai is parked behind my dad's car, which he likes to drive on sunday, and well if he finds out i killed the hyundai he'll kill me im sure so any advice or any kind of help would be GREATLY appreciated, gosh i feel so stupid
oh and the hyundai was well taken care of and its at 88k miles right now, and the previous sparks were NGK and i just bought brand new wires today too and it still doesn't start, if that info helps

Sounds to me like you had a bad plug wire, your idiot friend switched the wires around (in the wrong order) and made things worse, and now your car won't start because the wires are completely screwed up. If you had installed them in the wrong order the car would've run like crap from the beginning.

I'm assuming the car is a 4 cylinder. The correct firing order should be 1-3-4-2. Make sure they are in that order, and if it still doesn't run right, get a code reader or get the car to someone who can read the codes for you and go from there. The Check Engine light is there for a reason.

the pulseplugs `require a computer reset`-
that can be done by removing the negative battery cable for a few minutes then reinstall it- now the computer can `learn the new plugs` which need to communicate with the controller in order to work right

and fix the firing order as said above
Get someone who knows how to help you if needed- plenty of engine and cap diagrams online to get the order right

What really matters is that you know the order on the distributor, and connect them up in order. There should be an online diagram to show you what you need to do.

Whichever makes you more comfortable. It may be easier just to disconnect the wires completely, tag them with a piece of tape tape ("1," "2," etc.) and run each wire from the distributor back to the appropriate plug to prevent accidentally crossing plug wires.

The firing order may be on a decal under the hood or in the owner's manual as well.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/rep...=Firing+Order#

However, you might also try a Hyundai forum or check a manual from the library.
