On the one where the guy is going for some chowder, one shot is on the tach racing to redline. He's already in 3rd gear, which means 110-120mph. Pretty fast for that little 2 lane road. When you see the commercial for 1000 times, you notice these little things.

You're right, it's just a commercial. The concept is that long drive really is a short drive and I believe it (for the CL, too). My drive from KS to NJ and back was short.

I didn't notice the speedometer but I did notice that they show the guy tapping the stick up in SportShift mode which would indicate he is, of course, upshifting. However, they immediately cut the to the tachometer and it's into the 6000 RPM range. I don't think redline in 2nd gear = 6000+ RPM in third gear (I'm too lazy to do the math)... so is this a mismatched scene?
