Some New Pics

I washed and cleaned the Infiniti yesterday so I took some pics. I really need to de-tar and wax it. Maybe next weekend if I have the time. But for being neglected, it still shines well for a car with 108K miles on it.

Sorry, I didn't clean the crap out of the door pocket or moved the dust cloth. Deal with it.

I've always liked those, even more than the same gen Maximas. I'd think you were lying if you said it had 100k on it. Your floor mats need some shampooing but otherwise the interior looks immaculate

Yep. I'm going to get this set cleaned and probably get another set if I find one on sale. Other than that, the seats are all in good shape other than a small 1 inch rip on the driver's seat.

Looks nice! We keep looking at these cars as an extra vehicle... but still haven't pulled the trigger. Have you had any problems with the high mileage?

No problems as of now. I changed the rotors and pads at about 95K. I got new tired before I went down to Asheville last month. I did have a problem with the muffler rusting off. The same as with my Pathfinder. It's a defect.

I'm going to get the plugs done. My belts are all still in good shape. And I need to do the water pump. I'm hesitating on the water pump, because I only started having issues with my Maxima after the water pump was replaced.

I did have the Service light come on once because I stretched my oil change a bit too long when I switched to Mobil One. The VQ engines seem to burn a little oil, and it's usually worse on Synthetic. So, now I just do my oil and filter changes in my garage about every 5000 miles. But I carry around about a half quart in case I hear tapping when I'm close to 5000. I never had cause to use it.

The suspension is still solid. Haven't really heard any noises. They checked out well when I have it in for inspection last month. I asked the mechanic to go over in and let me know if there was anything.

I get the same mileage as the day I got the car. I bought it September 30th, 2006 with 54K. I get about 23 mpg on mixed driving. And I'll get 27-29 if I'm doing all highway. And I'm usually about 75-80 on the highways.

Overall, it is probably the most solid car I have owned. I miss having a sporty car, but I can't complain about how comfortable the I35 is. And on a day like today when it's cold, the heated seats and stearing wheel are great to have.

I miss my CL. But I love the reliability and comfort of the I35. Hell, after 50K miles that I put on my CL, it had so much warranty work done on it, it was nuts.

Looks really nice. Doesn't look at all to have 108K.

Is this the car you were wondering about what type of wheels/tires to install?

The I35's have the fastest warming steering wheel I've ever felt. It's almost instantly warm.

Ahhh, so this is what you drive eh? Nice f'n ride bro. I've always liked the I35s. Sounds like she's holding up quite well. Does it still drive like it did when you first got it? BTW, what kind of gas mileage do you get on it?

I ran our VQ in the Pathfinder w/M1 up to 7500 miles btwn changes and never noticed any problems. I can't even say that I noticed it eating oil either. We would sometimes get random CEL on whenever my wife put gas in it and did not close the gas cap with several clicks. It always turned itself off within a day or so.

We sold the PF w/126K on it and that thing still purred like a kitten. We switched it off of the premium with abt 80K and never noticed any issues in doing so. Great truck! I would have kept it around if I could have rationalized keeping it around. I couldn't though....

Pretty much drives the same. Maybe it was a bit tighter when I first got it. Other than that, it's the same. Pick up and acceleration is great. It amazes me how fast I can get it from 55 to 80. It's almost effortless.

Mileage is about 22-23 on mixed driving and between 27 and 29 all highway. For the 22-23 range my trip computer is usually averaging about 35-38 mph. So it's a fair amount of stop and go mixed in with highway.

I can get to 7500 if I really needed to, but for $30 and an extra hour, I try to keep it to 5000. I have always noticed my Nissans burning a very small amount of oil. I should mention when I did have the CEL it was when the wife was driving the Infiniti all the time. She just mentioned in passing that at about 40 mph she hears a weird noise. I took for a test drive to get coffee and the CEL fired. The oil was getting close to 8000 miles at that point and she was doing a lot of stop and go driving.

Yes....it's great. I used it tonight. And the heated seats are great too. I can leave that car out in the cold, start it and within 2 minutes of having the heat on, heated seat on and steering wheel heater on, I have to take my jacket off.

Although.....I also have fat layers.

They are all rentals. The one we have is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with a 2 car garage. Not too bad. The ones in that background without the garage are either 3 or 2 bedrooms.

It's off Hershey Mill Road in Mountville.
