Wasn't sure whether to post here or in gallery so I did both.

Recently got myself a TL Type S A Spec and loving it!

next to my buddy's CL-S, when it was stock.

now it's lowered, tinted and w/ AEM CAI.

aluminum trimmed dash

black & blue trimmed leather

running lights on spoiler

aluminum step plates

body coloured headlight housings

thinking about UR pulleys next.

Thanks guys, I really like the car!

A-Spec is a limited run trim level for the TL Type S. One year run only and just 800 were made.

Basically a customized TL-S.
Custom blue & black leather trim throughout the interior (seats, steering wheel)
aluminum shift knob with blue leather trim.
aluminum side step plates
aluminum trim throughout the dash and interior
some funky running lights on the unique tail spoiler.
Unique 7 spoke 17" aluminum rims.
only comes available in nighthawk black or agean blue.
euro side marker lights
body coloured center grille and door handles
full body kit
fog lights

Even comes with a custom fitted leather car coat which you order to your size when ordering the car, with a metal tag engraved with your A-Spec # of 800 and name, etc. I'm still waiting for my coat to arrive.

All TL's (in Canada at least) are Steptronic only.
Only the CL Type S is available with 6 spd.
I wish the TL-SA had a 6 spd option, I'd definitely get it!
But it's nice to be able to drive around in the auto once in a while as all my other cars are stick.

Too bad they didn't offer it in the US. I like pretty much everything other than the seats, I like the perforated better there. Did they offer a better shift knob for the 6-spd CL in the A-spec? The plain leather knob seems somewhat disappointing in the US version, I may get a MOMO one someday.

How much extra for the A-spec when new?

:yummy: ... I love those headlights. We tried to get a hold of them, but getting A-spec parts is rediculous.

Anyway, nice ride!!

the A-Spec wasn't offered in the CL since they discontinued it.

actually, the blue leather inserts in the seats are perforated, as well as the steering wheel and shift knob.

the A-Spec was $2G more than Type S. (or $1400 U.S.)

Only $1400???!!!

Is that price over a regular TL-S or a TL-S with body kit and spoiler? If it is just a regular TL-S That's an excellent deal! Body kit and spoiler would come out to more than $1400 I'm sure not to mention the jacket.

yes, it was just $2G Cdn more than the regular TL Type S. I thought it was a steal too, that's why I couldn't resist!

well, technically, I bought the TL-S A Spec for my wife (though I probably drive it as much as her!) .
and we take turns with the WRX in the winter (on bad snow days!).
other than that, yes.

i have that incurable disease called car-addiction.

very nice

quick question, is the alumnium trim on the dashboard, i.e. radio and a/c controls aftermarket ? If they are, do they match the side aluminum trim from acura well? Also, is the alumnium trim in the TL-S aspec the same as those found in the 03 cl-s w/the black interior?

thanks

Very nice!!! My local dealership has a blue A-Spec.
I love it -- but can't justify selling my 01 CL-S since I still have a way to go on payments still!

Damn I'm jealous!
