So where do you fall under???

Most enthusiasts brag about their cars, but there are certain annoying owners who are mentally blocked from talking about anything else. Here are the ten car owners you think are the most annoying.

This is "Answers of the Day" - a feature where we take the best ten responses from the previous day's "Question of the Day" and shine it up to show off. It's by you and for you, the Jalopnik readers. Enjoy!

Want to see this gallery in one slow-to-load page? Click here.

10.) Toyota Prius Owners

Suggested By: theart

Typical Conversation: "You really should get rid of that regular car. You know I get 40 miles per gallon? And that's just around town! This car is the best thing that's ever happened to me. And I'm doing the world a favor. I don't pollute at all, and it's so quiet! The neighborhood's not noisy anymore. That's right, my Prius is quiet, and it's fighting off Global Warming. You're welcome."

9.) Subaru WRX Owners

Suggested By: Americanitis

Typical Conversation: "So the other night I'm out in the Scoobie, blasting down that road through the woods, and I hit this pile of leaves, hung the tail out real wide, then slapped it back in line with a little more throttle. I'm cruising along when this guy comes up behind me in a Porsche... Looks like he wants to race. So I back off, let him catch up, and we're goin' at it for the next mile or so when all of the sudden he backs off real fast. I'm thinkin 'Guess he learned his lesson' and then- bam. Reds & blues all over my back bumper. Dude must've called 'em, told 'em where I was... Sore loser."

8.) BMW E46 M3 Owners

Suggested By: SmarmAdonis

Typical Conversation: "You see that loser out there in the lot with that S4? Pshh, whatever bro. His hair was all messed up too. Sorry I picked you up late, I was working on mine. What? Nah, not the car, bro. My hair. You crazy? I can't just go out without that gel! No man, you shut up! And put on a real shirt. Yeah, more tigers and sequins and skulls. Nah bro, you look stupid. Watch the door gettin' out. That's a high curb."

7.) Honda Civic Si Owners

Suggested By: fuhteng

Typical Conversation: "Yo, check it. You feel that? No? Hold up, lemme do it again. Now? That's that VTEC, dude! Yo how about these lights, man? I wired that up myself. Fresh as hell. Yeah, and I got those sweet new springs on there, dropped like, two inches. Hella flush. Tight. Rollin' on Roti 18s, man. You don't even know. See my wing out the rearview? Nah, that is the wing. It blocks the mirror, dude. That's legit imitation carbon fiber, son."

6.) Lifted Powerstroke Ford Truck Owners

Suggested By: I Can Be Stig?

Typical Conversation: "WOOO!!! I love me some blue oval! Forget them Government Motors pansies, buncha commies. This is a real 'Merican truck! And now that I got this lift kit on it, I can go out in the swamps and pull out those Mopar sissies. That'll show 'em."

5.) Old British Car Owners

Suggested By: Cloud81918

Typical Conversation: "Ugh... Where's that wiring smoke coming from? Gonna have to go order another can... C'mon MGB, just turn over... What the- where'd all that oil come from?! And what's that wire hanging out from under the dash? Not again... You're so impatient! Your Corolla may be 'more reliable' but I'd rather be in a car without air conditioning in a car that doesn't run than something with no personality, I don't care how close your contractions are."

4.) Mid-Life Crisis Special Edition Corvette Owners

Suggested By: smackela

Typical Conversation: "Hey, you wanna ride in my 'Vette? No? What, is it the bald spot? Don't you know what this car is? It's the Indy 500 Pace Car edition! There were only 500 made! It's matching numbers! With factory air conditioning! So what if it's a horrible purple and gold combination, it'll be worth thousands in a few years, you just wait! And then you'll be bald too! And old! And no creepy older guys will ask you to ride in their 'Vettes! That'll show you..."

3.) Mazda Miata Owners

Suggested By: speednuts

Typical Conversation: "Girls' car?! Hell no! It's the modern reinterpretation of the classic open-top sports car. But with Japanese reliability. And it's rear wheel drive. And it's great on the Autocross course! I know, it's small, but once I get those stiffer springs on there, it'll handle even better. It just feels like an extension of my body, you know? And it's not a chick car. Don't ever say that again."

2.) Volkswagen Owners

Suggested By: TrampaOnline

Typical Conversation: "Actually, Volkswagen fixed a lot of their reliability issues years ago. Yeah, it runs great! You really should go try one. And they're so fuel-efficient! Now that I've got that check engine light on the dash taken care of- oh, no. There wasn't actually anything wrong with the car, the mechanic said it just happens sometimes. But they really have gotten a lot better. I love my Volkswagen!"

1.) Saab Owners

Suggested By: 900pilot

Typical Conversation: "It's got decades of rally experience in it, and a turbo. And you really just can't beat Swedish engineering. Sure, I've spent more than an afternoon underneath it, but I like to think of those times as investments. I'm investing in my unique lifestyle. You don't see that many Saabs out there, but when you do, you know what it is. And then you see it disappear down the road, fast."
http://jalopnik.com/5560710/

Well since I really dont fall under any of these since I drive a 00'tl and thats been my only car so far, I would think the closest one I would relate to is VW's. I'm hoping the GTI will be my first car, and everyone I tell is saying don't do it because of shitty reliability, but I always say that was way back then, now they are much more reliable and just great! Haha

Your turn.

edit: mods can I get a title change to "So what category do you fall under???"

Ok..
It handles better than any other gen TL EVER! The dash is like sitting inside a leer jet. It does every thing, but wipe your @$$.
No, it's NOT ugly. No, it does't look like a buck tooth. You have to embrace the look. I like the fact that it doesn't look like any other car out there...really...I do.

Audi owners:

So this guy was talking smack about my Audi the other day saying it's slow and overpriced. I'd like to see him beat me when we race in the snow! My car's got a way better interior too.

I have a 3G TL-- coolest car evar!
Check out that perforated leather seating and the blue accent lights! Imm'a change all of them to white LEDs later. Oh, and the built in Bluetooth is soooo cool, and they don't charge you extra!
Man, I can't believe people buy those overpriced German cars with the hideous iDrive and MMI shit systems. Check out this Navi-- let me have it find all nearest gas stations....
No, not "restaurants," "gas stations!" Lemme try that again...

There was a nice SRT4 at the June Cars & Coffee event. It drove by and I commented about it actually being clean and nice. My wife looked at me and said, "Yeah, it's not bad... but it's still a Neon. Why spend that much money on a Neon?"

I have a couple that come to mind...

Dodger Charger V6 with 22" lipped wheels
Your car has the antiquated 3.5L V6 that once powered the Eagle Vision or if you're lucky enough, you have a mid-2007+ model with the even slower 2.7 liter V6. Yet you try to make us believe you have a Hemi. You know it, we know it, your car can't pull away from a Prius. But those wheels are hella shiny.
Any Honda/Acura Owner Referencing Their "B16a/B16c" Engine
I'm on an Acura board and may get flamed, but good Lord these people are annoying. Here's an example where a 1990 Acura Integra owner claims her turbo'ed B16a can hit 240mph. That's not a typo: 240mph.
Teenagers Who Brag About Driving a 100K+ mile 7-series BMW, M-B S-Class, Lexus LS, Infiniti Q45, etc.
Your car was in your budget for a reason. These cars were great -- 12 years ago -- but are money pits now. You'll have plenty of time in your life to drive the ultimate in luxury, don't jump the gun just to say you're driving a [insert luxury brand here]. Having a POS as a teenager is a necessary step in life appreciation - it's the only time in life where driving a sh!tbox is cool - take advantage of it.

lol, quite a few of those are right on the money. Of course only a few owners that I personally know fall under those categories, but its pretty funny.

Typical 4G F-Body owner:

Mustangs are shit.... they need turbochargers or superchargers to keep up with a naturally aspirated GM. Hey, we may use it but nitrous doesn't really count. Yeah so what if the interior has carpet made out of rat fur? I bought this thing to kick ass, not to get good gas mileage or go around corners or feel up my dashboard. And besides, if I spent 8 grand on anything else, I 'd have ended up in a Civic, or worse, a Mustang!

It handles better than a regular Si and it's the closest thing I could get to a Civic Type-R which isn't available over here. Plus it has limited production Mugen parts that would cost you a grip if you added it onto a regular Si. I'll have to drive in circles before I go home to throw off potential thieves trying to follow me and I won't be able to sleep at night even when I park it in the garage but it's totally worth it.

335i owners: As long as you are within 200 ft of them, you are riding their ass in your shitbox, so get the fuck off the road and let them have the road all to themselves, after all they do have the ultimate driving machine!

Ohh I cant wait till I own my first BMW

I've explained what vtec is to people by going to 6k+, put blue LEDs inside and yellow fog lights in, dropped on springs like 2 inches, was very close to buying a set of 18 inch rotas, and have a (small) wing on the back of my car

Sigh..................

Can we not turn this thread into another pissing match? And there's more than one here turning this thread into something it doesn't need to be.

No problem with good natured ribbing, but let's not start hurling insults.

If a owning a certain type of car makes the owner feel the need to defend the purchase, it's probably not the best choice to begin with ... No?

Either that or they need lots of time on the couch with Dr. Frasier Crane.

OK, topic has been cleaned of the BS. You guys are lucky that they were in this thread first, b/c I was about to hand out several bans until I saw they issued warnings, and due to the personal attacks they were going to be longer then one week.

Anyway, as was posted above by Ken and Terry... keep it on track and knock off the insults in this or any other thread or

.

That is pretty good. I purchased mine to go fast but I can still get 26mpg on the highway.

"So what if every taxi in the third world is a Mercedes and all the off-lease cars are being bought by people I'd cross the street to avoid passing on the sidewalk? It's still the world standard for how to build a car. What? Well yes, it's been in for electrical problems but that's just a by-product of its sophistication. Oh, fuck you. I'm going to go bang our son's au pair."
