I'm going to hold off until the first snow, which it looks like might not be that far away.

Oh, and no "What's winter?" responses please....

Well actually you should take them off when it gets cold. Summer tires dont heat up enough to grip in the cold.

I would swap now. Plus we just had our first snow fall today here. Wasnt really sticking on the roads though.

Today -- did it right after work. Might snow here tomorrow and I'm driving 20 miles out of town for locum work. Not going to risk going into a ditch with my Volk rims and 235 wide tires.

I did it today too, considering it looked like a blizzard outside today with the snow and wind. figured it was probably time

however, I snapped the wheel lock and key when putting on one of the OEM wheels. now i'm waiting on a shipment of another key to see if i can get the partially snapped wheel lock off. fawk

I am going to do it sometime in the next few days,...maybe tomorrow. It is supposed to snow soon and the temps are getting down there now.

I can't afford a second pair of rims or tires. So I'll be riding my stock 15-inchers with Goodyear TripleTred tires this year.

NEVAR!!!!!

As soon as I get home for Thanksgiving break. I should have taken them off earlier since leaving my wheels on while the car sits at home is kinda pointless.

It was 27 deg F this morning, and my summer tires handled like hockey pucks. I'm putting on the winter tires tomorrow.

Well I don't switch tires anymore since I got my beater explorer. With my other cars however I would switch when the weather man was forcasting the first snow.

I put summer only tires on this past spring and they are the first set I have ever had. I really see what you guys are talking about with there bad grip in the cold. When I drove to work this morning it was like 28F and I keep spinning with anything over 1/4 throttle

Changed them to the stocks two weeks ago becuase I needed the car inspected and my 18's are like slicks right now! Plus it is starting to get cold so Nov. is a good month to change them. 18';s will go back on in April.

Did it over a week ago. I took advantage of a warmer than usual day to wash, polish, and stack them.

Winter sucks

I have A/S tires on my scion, I was contemplating getting snow tires for the season...I think i'll chance it to see how the car will perform... low car + 215/45/17 ultra high performance All season tires can't be thaaaat bad.
