I haven't had much luck with a washable/reusable clay pad. Needs way more lube to avoid marring. Its biggest advantage is the greater area over a traditional bar, IMO.
My experience is different that what I've read online, but I'm going back to a regular clay next time it's needed.
Unfortunately, I don't have any personal experience with them but, it was more by recommendations from others.
Clay bars trap a lot of the debris and you can only fold the claybar so many times ... the clay mit / re-usable clay bars seem to be able to be washed and used over again.
I plan to go clay mit simply for that reason. Plus, it's bigger and faster!

I plan to start once things start cooling off a bit. I'm eligible for a stimulus check and that should cover everything I'd need. Trying to find the silver lining!

FYI... You can make clay lube using a rinseless wash diluted about 1:250. It makes a good cheap lube. About $1.00 - $1.15 a gallon!
So looking online and seeing who has clay bar in the stores. No one, amazon won’t ship because it’s not essential and Targets half ass automotive selection. I looked at Walmart online and out of stock. People are probably taking advantage of this 76-84 degree weather we are having it Northern California.
edit: I found some at autozone although, it’s mother’s Ive only used Megs and CGs clay bar..

You might try Amazon anyway. I've still been ordering stuff and even though it shows long delivery times, most of it still shows up in 2 days. YMMV.
No big updates on the wagon but, I plan on putting some much needed money into it.
My current wheel setup needs attention; tires are pretty low on tread and the wheel paint is fading ... I found some 17" E46 sport wheels for $200 on OfferUp with tires ... although, the tires are a tad dry rotted and I managed to get him down to $100 .
I plan on taking these down to Discount Tire soon to get some new tires mounted / flipping my old set and correcting some of the curbage with sandpaper / touchup paint. Thanks for the tip J!
I should only be in the hole around $150 once all is said and done.
The car isn't worth much .. and the only money going into it is maintenance / whatever is absolutely necessary to keep it driving decently / safely.
Car needs tags .. and smog is due next year. Currently, car has an "Engine Service Soon" light on the dash which means it has a catalytic converter code.
