Like all growing up, I had to learn piano. And I mean, LEARN.
Given all the hours of my youth spent on it (and it was alot), I did consider going to music...and so, got into a few nice schools.
Too bad I like $$$$ too much to even consider the music route.

I knew I liked $$$$ early. I was focused on a business degree before I even entered college.

Too bad IT then went belly-up in 2000.
I'm fortunate to have survived that relatively unscathed...but, yeah...chances are, I'd be starving if I went the music route.
Anyhow, back to being jealous of Coal here.

Someone who gets it! Would you speak to my wife, please? I don't think she's game for that kind of spending.

Congratulations Coal, that is a gorgeous beautiful 996TT. Thumbs up too for being appreciative of what your parents can offer you instead of taking it for granted.(Don't get me started on the local GWU kids)
As for the car itself, I wouldn't worry too much about reliability being a major issue. There a few members on Rennlist that have over 190k+ and a particular gentlemen from switzerland driving a 320k miles 00 996TT. You might have little issues here and there that can be resolved from preventive maintenance, but the big stuff is bulletproof. I suggest you to subscribe to Rennlist and Teamspeed, these two forums have a great deal of current and past members.
Last but not least, if you plan on tracking your car, I suggest you to upgrade your stock brakes but by all means track it. Most fun you will ever have. With your clothes on anyways.
