So the Odyssey needed to get new brake pads so...
So I got a new to us car.
It's an 09 Q7 4.2 FSI Prestige I picked up with a little over 19k miles. As for as I could tell it came with these options with original sticker a little under 72k...
S-Line Package
Luxury Package(Alcantara headliner)
Cold-Weather Package
Adaptive Air Suspension
Adaptive Cruise Control
Panorama Roof
Push-Start Button
picked it up at the beginning of this week for a hair under 50 but hadn't had the time to take some pics. All in all it's a good car but I realize I could have gotten an 06 Q7 for almost 20k less but the whole package made it worth it as it's specced exactly how I would have bought it brand new.

I got an occasion to drive for about 600 miles to OBX,NC this weekende.
The good: It looks good, the car definitely attracts attention maybe not necessarily always positive lol. The S-Line package in white is definitely a great addition. The 5 star double spoke RS4 style wheels look great as well.
The interior is typical Audi as it is very quiet with exceptional build quality. The turning radius is very small as well for a vehicle it's size thanks to Audi Drive Select.
My favorite part about this car though is the way it drives. It might not be the fastest SUV as it is heavy but it handles very nicely for it's size. The Quattro literally feels like it's riding on rails with the 4.2 emitting a nice growl. Kudos for a big tank as well as I did about 400 miles on a single tank of gas.
The bad: Space, space and space. Coming from my Odyssey as my family vehicle I practically lost all trunk space. We were 7 with about 3 days worth of luggage and it felt very cramped especially for those in 2nd and 3rd row. This is an area where the minivans definitely shine. Gas consumption isn't also it's forte as I expected requiring about 90$ of premium gas.
The electronics were also a bit funny to get used to at first. I hadn't used MMI for awhile and boy had I forgotten how it was. Turning the A/C off was also a 10 minute affair as I had to hold the button, simple but not easy at first. The sensors for the parking systems are far too sensible too; maybe there is a way to tone them down.
I'll think of more as time goes by...

Also forgot to mention this in my initial message.
Blind Spot Monitoring is also very helpful as it is the first vehicle I own with this system; there is a black spot on the side mirrors where it turns orange if there is a car in your blind spot, becoming more bright if you get closer to it. If you attempt to change lanes, it blinks and becomes quite alarming lol.

There is a way to adjust the tone and sound of the parking sensors, push the "Vehicle" button by the knob in the MMI to go through the settings.
To turn the AC on, simply twist the fan button or push auto. To shut it off hold down the "ECON" button for about 3 seconds.
Oh, and congrats!

If you wanna upgrade any parts with some euro stuff... check this place out:
ecstuning.com or oemplus.com
FYI, oemplus.com is having a 10% sale nearly everything till the 24th IIRC.

Funny thing is that this place used to be very HEAVY anti-german about 7-9 years ago. Same time we used to argue about FWD vs RWD in snow.
Good times.

Thanks everyone for the nice words
I want the V12 TDi grill.
But in all seriousness I've made a short list of things to improve right away;
10+ Tails (Still not sure about the headlights as there are way too many LED)
Window Tint
Replace Quattro badge in grill with S-Line badge
Aluminium side mirrors, S/RS style.
Miltek sounds really good with the 4.2, thing is I haven't even looked up how much that'll be. Then eventually tires (in 6mo.) or to replace the original Pirelli Rossos as they don't have much tread life left.

Awesome!! We've been looking at the Q7 although my wife has been leaning towards the Q5 since she feels the Q7 is too big.
Regardless... very hot ride and pretty much exactly what I would want ours to look like. Enjoy it and welcome to the 4-ring family

Milltek exhaust sounds awesome on the larger Audi motors. Surprisingly, I think they are cheaper than AWE Tuning, for the A4 at least it is IIRC.
Be sure to check out the sale on oemplus.com, the 10% is pretty good, and their prices are reasonable. ECS is hit or miss. I've come across some stuff that is really well priced, other times not so much. However, they have these random sales that are just mind blowing. A couple months back I got cargo nets for the Avant for 96% off regular price! I paid $3/ea! So needless to say I bought up a few in case I ever damaged one.

Nice Q7, I love the color!
Mine is an '08 4.2 Lava Gray Pearl/Ebony, and I got it with a little over 8K miles.
I also picked up the S-line 21" wheels shortly after getting it.
I thought about getting the Milltek exhaust, but decided against it b/c it's my wife's DD
I do want to switch out the wood grain interior for aluminum trim though.
Great vehicle. Enjoy it!

Nice Q7, the S-line is a must. One of my best buds had a Q7 4.2 and hated it, the Audi customer service was awful and he eventually traded it in, ironically, for a Toyota Sienna (like you, he wanted more space as well...he has two young girls).
Hopefully your experience will be better. It's sure a looker
