Midnight Mystery's Honda Accord Thread

My dad had a 7th gen 5MT Accord sedan a few years back & it was the definition of a reliable car, just fluid changes, brakes & tires. He's since moved on but sold the Accord to someone at work & it's still going strong to this day. It's pushing over 500,000KMS (300k+ miles) & no signs of slowing down any time soon.

One on the right for me
Maybe dream car in terms of what is practical and reliable for a day to day vehicle? In terms of my daily (and within the last 5 years beater) I'm happy with the TL - couldn't have asked for anything more given what it has done over the last 15 years...? Maybe? Searching for the rationale on this one.

Hey, some people dream big. And some people... huff too much brake cleaner and barely have lucid dreams from the lack of synapses.

Your dream car is a 12 years old Accord? You need to get laid so you could have some better dreams yo...
BTW: is there any difference between his 2007 Accord V6 and my previous 2007 Accord LX, other than the 2 cylinders? Because what he described - the steering, suspension and all that is NOTHING like i experienced with my Accord.....

Exactly... I don't like new cars... Like push button start... Although it's convenient, it's also a pain when you go to leave, then you realize your key is still in your other pants, like I just did 15 minutes ago...

MM you need to chill out. You're a 22 year old dude in the middle of America. A 2007 Accord has no business being your dream car. Don't ever call it that again, ever.
Go buy an Accord for now, and memorize this line: "It was a good price and it's clean. It's got decent power and good gas mileage, plus the seats are comfy."
Check the timing belt and change the transmission fluid.
Then, go home and set goals. Real goals dude. Supercars do nothing for you but you want a 90's ES300? You're being nothing more than contrarian. Stop it.
Go, start or finish school, save all your money, get laid, travel when you can, and save up for something with at least 350 hp and powering the rear wheels at a minumum. It doesn't have to be new. Get an aircooled 911 or E46 M3 or something. I know you have real dream cars, dream about them more. No excuses.

Honest to God, I like modesty.... The most outrageous dream car I'd have would be an IS350 or 6MT TL... That's about it...
I travel a lot, locally... (Within 4 hours drive)
Getting laid (relationship stuff) is not my priority because I'm not even living where I intend to live my life, and I want no attachments to this area... Having a S/O or child here (something that could inadvertently lead to that in the future) is my worst nightmare...

I don't like cars because I "like cars"... I like cars because how they make me feel... I like older cars and preserving them, like living in a time capsule....
If it weren't for the transmission issues, I'd go 6G AV6....

I am chill, but dreaming big and buying fancy cars makes me feel hollow... Like I'm abandoning my roots or something, just looking to tone back some, get back to being my real self... I never wanted much and pretty much accomplished what I was trying to do, did that for a few years because it was never meant to be permanent, and just starting to think about being 25 and stuff...
I've always been called an "old soul", and I guess that means I'm very reverent and stubborn at heart...

Go to Vegas, rent a Lamborghini, and drive 150 miles per hour through the Valley of Fire and then reevaluate the difference between a dream car and a practical car.

OK.... I wasn't going to put "Dream Car" in the title originally...
I didn't know what else to call it... I spent a lot of time imagining myself having this as my daily, so I "dreamed" about it a lot... But "dream car" is misleading, but I guess I didn't realize y'all would take it literally in the title...

Ok... Got it!
What I meant to say was "I drove my favorite daily driver car, and it surpassed my expectations"....
Then argue why it's better than the TL for my specific needs...
That was the whole point if this thread in the first pkace... Just got caught up im all of it...
Sorry about that guys....

whats wrong with hookers? They make honest living by providing the necessary services to many individuals who otherwise would not know where pussy is

Here's a thread for all your dream car drooling ...
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-tal...thread-703237/
I had a V6 6MT and it was a fantastic car. And I too liked it's driving feel better than the 3rd Gen TL, granted I did only drive one for a week or so as a loaner, but to me it felt heavier and less agile. I still miss the 6 speed in my Accord. It was the perfect shift feel.
