i just bought the hood, came primered from honda, just havent sent the car off to the shop yet for paint.
the wash i just gave it made the neat swirlies you see now.
Dude that's downright gorgeous. I love it.
Honestly once the hood and everything gets painted, I would leave the exterior the way it is. I'm sure you have some other plans up your sleeve though

but no sir, after paint and and small imperfections are re-done. exterior is fin...
im putting a fresh motor in it and driving it till the wheels fall off

I think when my TL hits 150k or 175k I'm going to have the motor rebuilt or something. Since this is my 4th car in 5 years, I'm determined to keep this thing forever.

I'm glad to hear that you are keeping it simple on the outside. Sometimes doing less to the exterior of a car says more than doing a shit ton of stuff. More classy I think

I've typically been more of a 4th generation fan, but yours is really making me love the 5th gens as well. It looks amazing and will look even better once you get the hood painted. Great work man!

i acutally like the USDM fogs i have on it.
they are more rare on the preludes if that makes any sense.
most people without them always buy the JDM ones. i never see the optional USDM ones. and they are functionally better.
the hood and maybe the front lip (not a big fan of it but im havin trouble finding an OEM front thats not banged up). the roof could use it too but its hardly noticable.. the previous owner had an ugly sunroof visor and it faded the paint behind it.
but i'll handle that later.. other then that i just need a good claybar and the body will be fine.

also, take into consideration my low beams are not THAT blue.. my phones camera does funny things when faced with lighting issues.
even so, i will be changing the bulbs out next time around to 4300k.. i missed the "white" look i had on my TL.
second picture is for my 2nd Gen TL guys.. had to try it out at least.. (this was before i bought my current wheel setup)

omg my twin is gone!! lol
Aww your tl was so pretty
LOVE the prelude though... rare and beautiful... I almost bought a silver on black lude before the tl still kind of kicking myself since now my hopes of owning one is slim to none lol
CONGRATS thought if the prelude gets as much love as your tl did it will be absolutely gorgeous in no time!

taking a turd and making it into a beautiful driving machine is my biggest passion.
especially doing it one piece at a time, you get to watch it transform with each little part.
once this one is done i wont be selling it, this will be one for the garage and sunday drives for years to come. having a blast restoring it back to a prelude's true beauty.
Sorry to revive this thread but..
I love what you've done with the Prelude...
I was about to buy a beat up '97 SH a few weeks ago. It was missing a fender, was dirty inside and out, had leather interior, black on black, 120k miles.
When I was looking at it I was about to PM you seeking advice.
Then I just ended up buying pitts200's CLS a week ago.
Either way, I hope to own one of these as a DD/track car, you'll be hearing from me with some questions when I decide to do so!

No problem... Feel free to ask anything.
There are some decent prelude forums but most of the people are 17 yr old ricebags or 35 year old dicks...
This is why i spend most of my time here.. Reguardless of my lack of acura

Yup, after I passed that deal up, I had been looking for a few more days for some preludes. Everyone I spoke to that had theirs for sale happened to be an idiot with no real sense of how to sell a car or properly describe it.
Hey Rockstar u have a pretty sweet Prelude. I luv the black on bronze look. Car looks super clean. The simple look u going for car defines clean. This is how Prelude's should always look. I wanted this Prelude when they first rolled out, but my next car will be an E46 M3
Dude, so sexy. A place i go to smoke hookah, has a dealership next to it, luckly the dude who owns it goes to smoke hookah there and so I talked to him, he has a white prelude with the H22 5speed for sale, wants like $3500 or something, 110k miles or whatever. It looks clean, hopefully I can pick it up, I miss VTEC
