sl65 spotted!

i dont know what to say...that car was incredible, it had gunmetal rims and a huge v12 badge on the front fender. Guy looked at me and dropped the hammer. If I had money and had to choose between the sl65 or 6 series bmw i would not know what to do.

my cl-s didnt even have a chance to catch up to see it again!

are you kidding dude? the 6 series and sl65 arent even anywhere near the same price range. the sl65 is 179,000. the 6 series is 70,000. I would WITHOUT A DOUBT take the sl65 over a 6 series. the sl dwarfs the 6 series in hp and torque, looks, braking, handling, hardtop-ability .. no contest in my opinion.

Yeah I was about to say, what kind of comparo is that, an SL65 to a 645Ci? Maybe he thought it was the SL500's price range......

When I went to the body shop that's painting my tool box there was an CL65 out front, I walked in and starting talking to the guy who owns it. He lvoes it, his wife drives an SL65. The guy is some big wig in the racing seen and helps run a CART team and a few other race programs. Could you imagine owning both a CL65 and SL65. He said they are both just stupid street fast.

Thats tough. i'd probably take the 645 droptop over the SL500. Not over the SL55 though.

I don't really think so. The performance numbers I believe are similar. And those gills on the side are rediculous. Plus, when it all comes down to it, V12s are better.

SL65...tons of power, awesome styling, and convertible hardtop....the only thing I'd get over that thing would be the F430

have I ever seen one in person? hell I've driven one. and an sl55. I valet park at a restaurant .. a really nice one lol.

heres a pic of it and the sl55 in front of the restaurant. and after that is a pic of a car I saw on the road that I wish I had driven lol. (excuse the poor quality, taken with camera phone)

I would take a 645 over an SL500, but not over an SL55, or SL65.

Unless you went out for a joyride with both of them i doubt you drove it enough to get a “good” feel for the cars.

With drag radials, maybe ~11.8. The stock ECU won't let you brake torque, so the launches will be in the 1.9 60' range... not enough for really quick times. Trap speed feels like it'll be in the 121-122 range.

Now with the RENNtech ECU and a set of DRs... I'm thinking 11.3-11.5 @ 125. We'll know soon enough
