For the first time, i can say that the C Class looks as good as the 3 series. Each car has its +'s and -'s, but they are both great cars to cross shop now.

BMW interior looks better IMO.

That C class interior doesnt look like a Benz at all. More like some sort of rejected Lexus IS design.

^^^^ I've never liked when the nav screens pop up- it makes it look like an afterthought. That was more acceptable 5 years ago but not now, especially for a Mercedes.

Aesthetically, not really a fair fight. Should have had a 335i with the 18s.

Both look great, i think both interiors are kinda blah, but I would take the Benz interior over the BMW one.

The BMW interior wins hands down. Did Dodge interior engineers work on the C-Class?

Their comparing an AMG version with a stock 3-series. That's fair.

Cool comparison; I'd like to see the e90 335i with the m-kit beside the c-lass with AMG kit.

that c-class front end is WAY too "in your face" but the rest of the lines i love. i'm sad to see though, that they took a relatively nicely laid out interior and turned it into something so ugly.

They should have at least got an E90 with Sport Package on it.

Either way, the benz looks good but that interior looks like its from the mazda 3.

advantage: MB.

I f'ing LOVE what they are doing with the new grilles (on this car and the new CL) - harkens back to the 80's SEC, one of my all-time fav MB's.

Or a Chrysler... Seeing as how they own Mercedes Benz.

I wouldn't say that anyone is owning anyone, more of a partnership, since it was just a merger, hence, DaimlerChrysler.

Its a 330d vs. C350 CDI Sport.

They should have at least got the sport package for the 330 though

The control is definitely more in Germany. American managers and employees complained about this.

the c-class redesign looks horrible. the 3 series redesign looks great. E90>c-class. not to high-jack, but the 2008 CTS>both. in my opinion, the new CTS is juice.

The C-class would look sharp if it had the standard MB grille and not the "Hey look at me, I own a Mercedes" massive three-point star on it.

I really like the C-Class but from the side it looks like somebody punched its face in. The grille is too tall and too vertical. If they shortened the height of the grille by a bar or made the tail lights a big higher it would look more proportionate.

And the steering wheel on the C-Class is still incredibly fugly.

C-Class has definitely jumped ahead of the 3-series, in my opinion. Doesn't have that "shrunk-down S-class" look anymore, imho.

BTW, to the earlier posts, MB definitely has the control over Chrysler, and, though it was pitched to the world as a merger of equals, it most definitely is not.

Interesting. The C looks more grown up but I still think I'd take a 3 series.

Well, that is the best looking C-class to date but, I would be hard pressed to get one over its BMW E90, Lexus IS and Audi B7 counterparts . Personally, I think the interior style of the W203 > W204.

And with Keg1997. Be it the Infiniti I35, 1G G35, Volvo S60, Mazda6 or this new C-class, the popup navi is a turnoff.

i have to admit that the C-Class has improved A LOT! But I still will take the 3 series on any given day.

That is not the AMG. The AMG is not out until later this year. That is the CDI Sport (which will basically be the C-350 Sport here)

That grille is only on the C-class sport. The Luxury Edition has a more traditional front end as shown below...
