which should I buy? Integra/CL-S/RSX
I've narrowed it to (3) the cl/rsx, or the car I currently drive, the Integra. I must purchase by december, My preference is the CL, but I can't really afford mechanical probs..should I buy an 01 Integra? or just get a 02 or 03 rsx! please help me!!

If you stay away from the auto trannies, a CLS six speed should be fine. I had a 2002 RSX-S. It was a nice car, but not even in the same league as a CLS. Sounds to me like you want a used car. How much can you afford to spend?

Noodelboy, thats the kind of positive enforcement I'm looking for to help justify my purchase, is it true that only about 2 percent of these auto trannies fail? How about the rotors, are they as bad as everyone says?

yup i have an 03 cl-s 6speed.
But from what i understand there was a TSB/recall on the 01 autotrannies that should be covered by the manufacturer. If you get a used one there should still be the 3 years + extended (if any) on any major defects. Acura is pretty good about their warranties - at least up here in Vancouver it is.

I would not get an RSX but that's just my personal preference. It depends on what you want your car for. Obviosuly I chose a 6 speed CLS. I liked the luxury aspect of it as well as the somewhat well performing aspects.
If I was going to go balls out racing around in my car and tracking it autox or road racing style on the w/ends I'd be sitting in a '98 Championship White ITR. (If stuck in the Honda/Acura world)
Otherwise, depending on price range, have you looked into a '94 or so Supra? They're really nice cars and run really well even with high mileage. I'm sure you could find one for under 30K.
If I had the choice to do it again and choose between a 6 speed CLS and a 6 speed TT Supra MKIV I'd be all over the latter. The 6 speed misses some of the punch I wish I had sometimes. The handling on the car is not really that impressive but with some mods can be tolerable through the average twisties.

If you are satisfied with the size and comfort of the integra than the RSX is a great purchase, but I chose my CLS 6MT because of the added comfort and size. Im a semi large guy and I felt like I was in a packed in a sardin can when I test drove the rsx.

If you want a larger interior then the other two then the CL is your best bet. Don't fret to much about the trans problem, this board can make it seem much more widespread then it really is.

cl-s. looks pimp when its done right. i'll be posting pics soon, just gotta wait for my amp and i can finally get all the shit thats been sitting in my apartment installed.
Every car that i've ever modded, i've always done it in one shot. Nothing looks more disgusting to me that a car with just one mod one it. i.e. just altezza's on an integra, a civic with a noisy muffler and nothing else, an expedition with rims but no tints.
its the little things that matter.
