Sh*t... What a deal.

I know several people who have bought through carsdirect.com

This is a fucking sweet deal. Even if it's only an Accord.

You could actually get a better deal than that..............There is $1300 dealer cash on all 04 Accords and on that V6NAV abot $900 in holdback................You could actually buy it for under $24k

I highly doubt any dealer would touch that price; 24.8K. Getting a dealer to get rid of it for under $24k would a) be a steal but b) also be a miracle.

I got a dealer down to about $1700 under invoice on a 2002 leftover Accord V6 EX when the 7th gen sedans where on the lot, so this price doesn't suprise me. I bought the CLS instead 'cause I really wanted a 6spd.

Honda has some aggessive discounts to move last years leftovers off the lots in October...

I usually rely on carsdirect prices .

Despite the fact I'm overseas (Europe) my mom called, said she needs brand new 4 cyl. auto, 4 dr, good on gas, comfortable, should look decent but under $20K

Bottom line, CarsDirect.com showed $17,650 for 04 Accord 4dr. LX (DOHC i-VTEC 160hp/161tq) with side air bags. I called the dealership she drove the Accord at and she's got the deal of $17, 700 with the color she likes most - Graphite Pearl. BTW, the Invoice was $18,832 and MSRP of $20,865

Gotta love the internet

A 4 door EX V6 auto would make an excellent "girls" car

The price looks good, and you know that with the number of accords they sell, there shouldn't be any long term depreciation hit (like on the CLS) even tho it's a one year old model. With the 2004's, at least it's in the same generation (7th) as the current 2005 model.

With the deal I negociated on the 2002, it would have been and "old" 6th gen model as soon as I drove it off the lot. My mom did that with her old Camry, so when the new Camry came out, she bought one to replace her old one (1991/1992??).

With all the home equity/refinancing money running dry, I can see auto dealers making soem deals to sell off their inventory. Any one who was on the fence about consolidation debt thru refinancing or buying a car because of the low interest rates recently has probably already done the deal, and car dealers might be seeing all the money that was freely being thrown around slowly drying up...

I never would have thought a dealer would take 24K for a '04 Navi Accord V6.

Oooooof... Local dealer has one.

I just noticed its a V6 Accord. If I were you I'd stay away.
You know about V6 AUTO TRAGIC BS. There was recent tranny recall incl. 04 and I dont trust Honda in V6 auto anymore. Once I come back I will sell my 01 AV6. Now, 4 cyl is different transmission, therefore I recommended to my mom. For the V6 I would highly recommend 05 Altima 3.5 SE (solid auto, leather, Xenon, Bose, etc.) and NEW INTERIOR for the same price: $24K. Much better and solid car and you wont have to worry about transmission ever again regardless of modding the car or not

I'm getting $27,237 for a 3.5 SE with the navigation package and TCS/Side Airbags...

http://www.carsdirect.com/build/opti...&restore=false

Haven't heard that about the V6 Accords... Any specific links to boards/press releases?

Try Chicago, to be exact Niles and zip is 60714. I'm pretty sure you'll get better price and I believe $ave on taxes due to out of state. I have somebody who work there maybe he can help you out

Here are the link for AV6 03-04 auto tragic recall:
Torrance, Calif. 06/29/2004 -- American Honda Motor Co., Inc. today announced that it will expand its existing voluntary recall of light truck models for a potential transmission defect to include certain Honda and Acura passenger cars. The voluntary action involves approximately 499,000 Honda and Acura passenger vehicles with V6 engines and 5-speed automatic transmissions. Affected models include certain 2003 and early 2004 model Accord V6 sedans and coupes, 2000-2003 and early 2004 Acura TL sedans, and 2001-2003 Acura CL coupes.

Same price for the 60714 zipcode. Not surprised...

You still have to pay taxes. I'll just have to pay them when I get a plate for the car.

I even doubt more that I could get that car for 24K. I just don't see it... But if you know someone...

Scrib,

First, it takes at least a month to order 05 Altima 3.5 SE w/Nav.
Second, he said he can only match carsdirect price which is:

wo/Nav = $24,817 + tax
w/Nav = $26,543 + tax

3.5L SE 5AT
Leather Sport Package (incl. Bose/Xenon lights, etc)

Scrib, the Altima is built like a pancake compared to the Accord. Just close and hold the doors on both. The new interior is better but still sub-par plastic. The Accord interior can be confused with a luxury car.
The Altima ain't so trouble free either and Nissan dealers are some of the worst.

Kinda like the 04 Acura TL, huh:

Lip Spoiler falling off

Check Engine Light

Tranny "CLUNK!!" noise

Rear Deck Vibration

Vibrations

Rear Glass Vibration

But I will admit, Nissan dealer service does suck. Thank God I have access to a local Infiniti service dept.

Scrib, If you really want this car now then heres what you do.

Since you already know you can get the car for $24,800 then the next step is to email the honda dealers around you. What I do is email all the dealers with the same info, tell them what you want and what you want to pay. At the end of the email tell them that the first dealer to agree to your price will get the sale. Also tell them you are ready to buy the same day. Let those fawkers work for your sale

But damn that price is almost 2k under invoice.

I know people that have gotten a price via the internet sales manager w/o even setting foot in the dealer ship.

Test drive the car where ever it's conveient for you, and then email the internet sales addresses for the local dealers telling them best price wins. You can also give them an incentive. Tell 'em you'll have them service your car for at least the first year (I think most places make their money on service and not the sale), and if you like their service you'll continue to use them. That seems to go over well with them.

Scrib,

More good news

Altima 05 3.5SE 5AT fully loaded:
leather/bose/nav/sunroof you can have it for $25,850 as the lowest possible and no more negotiations So you $save a lot.

MSRP - $30,260
Invoice - $27,843
CarsDirect: $26,543
Yours: $25,850

One condition: you have to make deposit then drive to IL to pick it up. I assume silver/black is the color choice?

Let me know

try edmunds.com

Their incentives area shows all the marketing & rebate info. It's pretty accurate too. Shows $6K off on a new Lincoln LS V-8. $4K off the 04 M45......

Drove a Murano today. '04 SL AWD, everything except navi. I threw out a number of 29K, fully expecting them to reject it.

Guy came back and said OK. I was like . Had to walk away. Need to sleep on it.

Naw, wil be at least 32k. Mine is fully loaded with no auto and got it for $31k. They might discount more since the newer style is coming out.
