My brother wants to get rid of his 99 A6.
He's looking for a sedan up to US$25K.
He's considering the TSX and I talked him out of Maxima/Altima.
He ruled out Accord.
The upcoming Hyundai seems to be good choice too - any idea when it may be available ?
Also which GM and Chrysler model(s) is worth buying ?

Guess who go blown away... me, and my TL-S is lowered with 8" wheels, the guy just took off after that...I bet the guy was laughin' ( I caught up with him on the freeway though...)

Chrysler 300 is a great choice. If your brother wants a Japanese ones, then gotta be Accord, Camry, Altima, or Mazda 6. Subaru Legacy is very nice, but only the GT sedan in my opinion. Acura TSX has lots of stuff but slightly over $25k, but probably he could negotiate to under $25k.

NO need load of HP, performance, luxury
need:
Dependability (after A6
)Safety
Practicality
FUEL ECO - BIG preference
thx

Sounds like the choice is pretty obvious, but then again I'm biased - TSX

Compared to a '99 A6 - I'd say it's a great buy as well as a step up in quality.

Also, he might consider a diesel powered car since those get fantastic gas mileage and diesel, while a little harder to find, is still fairly common around these parts.
out of all the cars listed i would much rather keep the A6, or upgrade to a used 2.7T A6, unless he already has a 2.7 then it should def be a keeper)
but to go from a midsized audi to a hyundai makes zero sense.
i guess i would have to go with a TSX, Legacy, or Maxima. (altima and wrx are played out IMO)

I meant to say 8" wide wheels... what I was gettin' at was... because of the AWD advantage... he was able to take the "loop" on ramp... at full speed...
