They could have shortened that a bit by getting rid of everything that isn't in the compact class and I agree, civic really doesn't fit at two since the car itself, stock, isn't all that impressive.

Exactly what i thought, the M3 was the official benchmark in acceleration and handling during the 90's even now it holds its ground so well. It should be top 20 atleast. IMO the e36 M3 is far better then the e46 when it comes to handling and the true sports car ride

Werd....even though I hate civics....it's made such a huge impact in the import car scene. EVO at #1, that's why I'm buying one ASAP. If only I could find a place to give me the deal I want! Yesterday I walked out of a dealer over $500.....

That list is interesting to say the least. The current RX-8 sucks ass.....drove it once, and crossed it off my list.

I don't see how the impact a car may have had on a "scene" should be a factor on how great a car actually is. If that were the case, since the wrx being introduced here pushed mitsu to bring the evo here, shouldn't the wrx be ahead of the evo? It paved the way. Shouldn't the nsx be ahead of the civic, integra, etc since its introduction with a vtec system paved the way for the popularity of honda cars to begin with? It doesn't work to group some cars by greatness and others based on setting a trend and it shows just by looking at the top 3.

rant

#37 Nissan Skyline R34

WTF that car should be higher than 37. I mean come on how did the R32 beat the R34. I'd take the 34 anyday of the week.

The Japanese Evo VII is soooo much better than the Evo VIII

JMO

/end rant

WTF kind of list is this?

The Skylines aren't sold here. Is this a U.S.-only list or what?

Because if it's not then those idiots missed a lot of good cars like the Lancia Delta Integrale, the Renault R5 Turbo, the Peugeot 205 GTi ... etc etc ...

I don't get it.... The NSX is a sport compact? Why is the GS-R there for 92-93 but not 94-01? The 2nd gen was better thean the 3rd gen?
