I've seen a few of those, they're pretty slick.
Tag reads 710 NFL, you think a football player owns that?

I love those Z8's. I'm sure they're rare but there are a couple near here since I see them pretty often ...both driven by older gray haired distinguished looking dudes.

I never researched it myself, but my cousin has an Alpina Z8 and when my next door neighbor's brother showed up with his non-Alpina Z8 I told him about my cousin's and he told me the "non" versions are higher performance, more power, the Alpina's only came auto vs his manual, etc. I do like Z8's very much but it would have to be a manual tranny for me.

....well OK I just googled it and found this site which explains it http://www.usautoparts.net/bmw/models/z8_alpina1.htm So it's partly true, they have different motors, the base Z8 has more power and a manual vs Alpina has auto more peak torque along with indvidual throttle bodies which are cool and responsive. I'll take the stick anyway.

Hot stuff...
But I would NEVER EVER leave my top down on a convertible. I don't even leave my sun roof open... Just think of the punk kids of would take their little Boy Scout knives and slash the interior, or pour their 711 slurpees all over the interior...

You say that, but with motion sensors and alarms these days people don't bother. I rarely drive my lotus with the top on. I think that a car of that caliber would attract so much attention that no one would mess with it. Thats my take.

Nice, after it appeared in that Bond flick, I thought it would be a huge seller with the mid life crisis crowd.

Badass, I think they were way over priced when they came out, but that doesn't mean I dislike them.

The S62 motor in the regular Z8 had individual throttle bodies. The Z8 had the same exact powertrain as the M5, just with a crazy aluminum body and frame.

Z8s are pretty cool cars. They are vey tiny in real life.

From what TOP GEAR said about this car, it wasen't a great handling car. The back end would break anytime you floor it or go through a tight turn even at normal speeds.

Those things are far more beautiful than pictures show them to be and the same goes for the wheels .

Probably a "snow bird" who had his/her car shipped here for the winter. It looked very impressive IRL, but the wheels.... Meh.

I personally appreciate the fact that at least you took pics...as for you apologizing about the quality, it far surpasses threads that just rant on about something they've seen without pics, so no apology necessary. As for the vehicle I remember seeing Clarkson drive this around with god awful reviews...

The Zed 8...
