Saw a BMW Z8

I was on my way to work today and saw a black BMW Z8 on RT 23S. There was a middle age guy driving. It's a pretty cool car but it's definitely not worth $125K. I realize it's a limited production but I'd rather have a Porsche Boxter S or 911 Cabriolet and save some money.

I pass one every once and a while on my way home from work.
Must be some rich BASTARD that lives out by me. (There are a lot).

When it’s overcast and he has his lights on it sets off the LASER alert on my V1.
Must be something with the NEON side markers.
It’s happened a few times, so I know it’s not a fluke.

It's the tailights. They are neon. The 3rd brake light on e46 convertibles also sets the V1 off. I would love to have a Z8. It's very fast/handles well and is a 2 seat convertible, FUN I had an M5 up to an indicated 165 today and would love to do it in a Z8

I think the front side markers are as well.
Mine goes off as he is coming towards me.
It stops after he passes.

It’s happened at least FIVE times and it’s always the same dude.

Well, the only person in our neck of the woods with a Z8 is Carlos Santana. I think it is a sweet looking car ...

Being a big BMW fan, I would like to say that I would in no way in hell buy that car for that price! Maybe for about 70k, but not for 128k MSRP. Hell no! Gimme M5 power baby!

Neat car, but its an overpriced marketing scheme- no new technology, same engine that comes in a $69k car....its all about being exclusive- only 400 imported in 2001....and the funny thing is, between Autoweek and Dupont Registry- I think half of them are for sale....there is a black and a silver one locally, its not that impressive looking IMO.
